The 1st Firmware-update for our Gear S2 is a fact: Samsung started rolling-out the 1st update to their Gear S2 owners (at least in the Netherlands, but I think in other countries too)...

Open the Gear Manager on your phone:

Settings -> Info Gear -> Update Gear-software -> Update now

The thing is I am using my Gear 2 with iphone and there is no gear manager app yet. So I hope I would be able to update it straight from the watch, right?

Strange: because I don't have that option on my Gear S2Classic! (maybe, because mine is connected to my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Gear Manager-app)

there is not any "upgrade option" on watch, watch are upgraded through gear manager .. do some internet research. so you answered yourself
