Just curious about the fastboot command:
- fastboot flash modem_a modem.img
- fastboot flash modem_b modem.img
Why is it modem_a and modem_b, are there 2 modems in the phone?

not really: every _a and _b duplicates are for seamless upgrade (aka a/b)
then the xxx and xxxbak duplicates are just there convenient for backup

Did you update the md5sum/s file as well? Yesterday I downloaded the file three times, and the hash value was still different.

Try differents roms!
Pixel Experience is very stable and gcam works good but there's others very nice too...

I use phh AOSP Q GSI + gapps and sooti vendor with Lightning Kernel, Magisk and giovix92 twrp.
It's all very stable. I have no experience with Google Camera, I cannot install from Play Store.
