How to check which firmware version I have?

There are several firmware partitions, some flashed to both a and b slot block device and some flashed to both itself and a backup location block device (those having appended 'bak' to name).

Please check META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script in the ZIP for what is being flashed where.

As about telling which one is currently flashed, many firmware partitions one cannot explicitely check, I suppose.

Perhaps the 'Baseband version' might be only reference, mine currently reads:
953_GEN_PACK-1.202044.1.240106.1,953_GEN_PACK-1.202044.1.240106.1

LOS 16 is P as is stock so I guess you can benefit from updated firmware.
However, there is no demanding mandatory need to update if your phone works fine.

I updated the firmware extracted from January OTA but LineageOS tell me vendor patch is still 5/5/2019. Does this mean Xiaomi haven't give us any firmware update since 5/5/2019?

I installed it and had no problems.
I think is more suitable for custom ROMs, since are based on newer sources.

I see. Maybe my internet provider is the culprit here. Always 2 bar or 1 bar line appear after modem upgraded to jan20 verison.. :good:

they are flashed double [to a and b (and bak)]
aboot (fastboot) is included, if that is what you meant with bootloader.
