So far didn't have any issues on the latest firmware, incase something goes bad and you want to revert back just take backup of your phone or taking backup of your boot partition is enough.
Thanks a lot:)

Do I have to install the ROM again after flashing the latest firmware?

MIUI 10 9.7.4 China Beta ROM Firmware
Downloads:
Notes:
- No More Global Beta
Xiaomi has decided to end the public beta program for all Global devices, including the devices that don’t have a Chinese variant like Pocophone F1 and Redmi Note 6 Pro. This is sad news for Xiaomi community, as many users have been using the weekly ROMs for a long time.
Also, this means there’ll be no Global firmware updates by us :( Please switch to latest Global Stable firmware for your device once a new update comes out. If you have a Chinese device or don’t have a problem with using Chinese firmware on your global device, you can flash weekly china firmware which will continue to release.

- MIUI Updates Tracker has been updated to V2.2
Changes:
  • New: RSS feeds for devices update
  • New: Separated devices' JSON files are now pushed to the repo
How to use RSS feeds?
Starting from V2.2 the script will push JSON and XML files for each device, in addition to the all-in-one file that was already available.
These files can be used for whatever project, just give the proper credits to XiaomiFirmwareUpdater project
Files are separated by branch: Stable Recovery - Stable Fastboot - Weekly Recovery - Weekly Fastboot
RSS files are available here (https://github.com/XiaomiFirmwareUpdater/miui-updates-tracker/tree/master/rss), Just open any XML file in raw view, copy the link, add to your RSS feed and enjoy :D

- Xiaomi Firmware Updater Changelog 4 - New supported devices, new projects and more!

  • New: Added the following devices to weekly tracking: Mi 9 SE
  • New: Add MTK devices: Redmi 6 - Redmi 6A - Mi Play
  • Change: Drop Redmi Note 5 Pro from non-ARB firmware devices

Which firmware do you guys recommend for the global version vince? Devs used to push users also of global ones to use chinese beta, because it's more up-to-date, but I saw that the global stable is also pretty recent (12.7.). So what do you use/recommend and why?

I use latest Chinese Beta. Well, I don't know why I use it but since it's a beta, I like it:D

Redmi K20 Pro
V10.2.3.0.OEGMIXM is the way to go.

It fixes the touchscreen issues on CN betas as far as I can tell. It's worth noting the fastboot archive unpacks bigger than previous releases and takes longer to flash in MiFlash. The update isn't actually bigger than previous ones; it just has a ton of 'padding' for whatever reason.

I tried it with firefox and edge. Turned off adblock on the firmware site, refreshed the page and a few seconds later the nag screen re-appeared.

I don't use any other blockers, and the only reason I used edge is that you can't uninstall it from windows ...

Me too, list (table) doesn't charge most of times... Tried in browsers without adblockers and whitelisting the site ;(

Edit: I downloaded from osdn ;)

I have different experience. Playing fps, i.e. old doom wads using Delta Touch app, I had touchscreen issues with this latest global firmware. After flashing latest chinese dev firmware issues are gone.

All Xiaomi users suffer from a single problem, Firmware update. As there are many devices with no one to provide the newest firmware update every single release. And also developers who provide updates to devices may forget or be busy sometimes, so releases are provided later. Here is my simple solution:

Xiaomi Firmware Updater (Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus)
    jSIVrRy.png
    Code:
    #include
    /*
    * Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */

A set of various script that automatically generates Xiaomi firmware flashable zip files every MIUI new update!
My scripts download MIUI official ROMs, both Developer and Stable, Global and China, extracts the firmware-update folder, generates firmware flashable zip with auto-written "updater-script", and uploads them automatically to many servers.
The scripts are completely automated, running on a Linux server every six hours.

    Note:
Name's will be in the following manner:
    • fw_miui_HM5Plus_*.zip is Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus (vince) China firmware
    • fw_miui_HM5PlusGlobal_*.zip is Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus (vince) Global firmware

You can get updates always from various mirrors available on the website:

    Frequently Asked Questions:
What is Firmware? Is it a full ROM or OTA package?
Firmware is not a ROM nor OTA Package, it's a set of low-level drivers which helps the operating system do whatever it wants to do. It includes various things like Modem, Bluetooth, Bootloader, DSP and etc.
Why should I update the Firmware?
Firmware is provided from Xiaomi directly, and there are no sources for it to let developers build and edit it on their own like custom ROMs, so if you want to keep your device up to date always update your firmware!
Do I need updating the Firmware If I'm MIUI official or custom ROM user?
No, MIUI ROMs contain the firmware-update package which I extract and provide here.
    What are the supported devices?
All Snapdragon and MTK devices including China-only devices.
Check the full devices list here
    How to update firmware?
1- Download the package you want to flash. IT MUST BE NAMED WITH THE SAME CODENAME OF YOUR DEVICE.
2- Flash it using TWRP or any custom recovery. There's no need to wipe/format anything before or after the installation.
How to check the updated firmware?
Usually, the modem gets updated with newer firmware, you can check it in Settings > About > Baseband.
