Hello guys. I have a trouble with mi xiaomi. Is a Redmi Note 8. I update and use V12.0.6.0.QCOMIXM. Now i can't do it again because the new updater is V12.5.1.0.RCOMIXM. How can i do this? Change for V12.5.1.0.RCOMIXM???
Update what kind of ROM? Q? R or S? For a Q rom you can still use V12.0.6.0.QCOMIXM and you should do so, since it's the latest stable and recommended global firmware for Q. V12.5.1.0.RCOMIXM is the latest global firmware to use with R and S roms. So the question is: what's the point here? Why shouldn't you be unable to flash the Q firmware back (when using a Q rom)?? PS: Region of firmware isn't important in the first place, but global seems to be most stable.
Simple, if nothing else is recommended by devs a Q rom needs latest stable Q firmware, R and S latest stable R firmware. You can always switch back if you want ( eg r to q ) and flash the corresponding firmware even if older or for another Region. But remember to always look out for the recommendations in the roms corresponding threads
Hmm that's weird, try downloading the file and then flashing again. Yesterday I flashed this firmware without any problems.
Yeah weird. I tried multiple times already and just tried again but same error. Should I uncheck zip signature verification or is there another way to flash?
On the PC download the firmware and check the MD5Sum with OpenHasTab https://github.com/namazso/OpenHashTab/releases/tag/v3.0.1
If its correct transfer to the phone and install.
Don't install if the MD5sum isn't correct

A set of various scripts that automatically generates Xiaomi firmware flashable zip files every MIUI new update!
My scripts download MIUI official ROMs, both Developer and Stable, Global and China, extracts the firmware-update folder, generates firmware flashable zip with auto-written "updater-script", and uploads them automatically to many servers.
The scripts are completely automated, running on a Linux server every six hours.
Note:
Names will be in the following manner:

What is Firmware? Is it a full ROM or OTA package?
Firmware is not a ROM nor OTA Package, it's a set of low-level drivers that helps the operating system do whatever it wants to do. It includes various things like Modem, Bluetooth, Bootloader, DSP and etc.
Why should I update the Firmware?
Firmware is provided from Xiaomi directly, and there are no sources for it to let developers build and edit it on their own like custom ROMs, so if you want to keep your device up to date always update your firmware!
Do I need updating the Firmware If I'm MIUI official or custom ROM user?
No, MIUI ROMs contain the firmware-update package which I extract and provide here.

How to update the firmware?
1- Download the package you want to flash. IT MUST BE NAMED WITH THE SAME CODENAME OF YOUR DEVICE.
2- Flash it using TWRP or any custom recovery. There's no need to wipe/format anything before or after the installation.
How to check the updated firmware?
Usually, the modem gets updated with newer firmware, you can check it in Settings > About > Baseband.
