You guys are right, apologies. I saw the MIUI version change from 9.2.* to 9.3.* and expected it to apply to the baseband as well.

Dont expect regular Updates of baseband with new Miui Version Update. It took a long time for update from v46 to v47 baseband. There is a thread too for Xiaomi Firmware Updates on XDA.
