How does firmware affect rooting?

I was rooted and fine, then I flashed latest global recovery and lost root. Now I can't root it with Magisk. Flashes fine but magisk manager says it's not installed.

I was rooted and fine, then I flashed latest global recovery and lost root. Now I can't root it with Magisk. Flashes fine but magisk manager says it's not installed.

Power off device (Not reboot) for 10 seconds. Then boot back to system and root should work again.

But this is not a Firmware problem. I faced this on most Pie Roms. Just dont reboot if possible. Always Power off !

Man, you could have saved me a lot of headaches and frustrations if you told me this about a year ago. That work perfectly.

The latest Global release for the Redmi 4X on firmware updated is 2019-06-28.
