It seems like the recovery is forced to compare the build.prop already on the phone with "compitable" firmware versions the upgrade is said to work with.
The fix is simple. Flash a custom recovery (fastboot) then a custom firmware. For instance spanorgs' CM11 and TWRP build: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2528822. All u9200 comes with unlocked bootloader AFAIK, and no root is needed to install a custom ROM.
After flash and 1st boot, enter TWRP. Insert the build.prop from intermediatepack FlashPack (from my AIO-thread) into the system folder. (TWRP has built in file manager)
Then install stock recovery (fastboot), and have the update in dload in sdcard. Install the intermediate pack.
This should work
If you can enter fastboot (turn on while holding volume down), and the PC recognizes it, you can use the same solution as I posted above your quote.
15 seconds adb and fastboot installer will do: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118#post48915118
Put dload in SD card
Turn off device
Press volume up and down together
Then press power
When Huawei logo appear, release power button for 3 seconds without releasing the volume buttons
Then press power again
After three seconds release all buttons
I'm not sure if you can use AIO p1 tool for stock rom.
You should practice the timing, you still have the stock recovery so this should work
Hi,
Since no one is answering this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2450306
I'll ask here instead. Is it possible to root Ascend P1 U9200 running B315 EUI1.5 JB v4.1.1?
Thanks in advance
We've tried helping you in earlier posts, but since none of those things helped we couldn't help further.
Just boot twrp recovery and exit. It will ask if you want to root. Simple solution that is posted in the first post.Hi,

TWRP will do it for you. Try kiprap's TWRP 2.6.3.0: https://mega.co.nz/#!SsRwjSoC!D3wDPlM7dNIj59BOecdyKxi3khN3l8D4HypjiGoyfv4
See how in this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2132043

Well yes that's what I wrote in the first page.Got it working now. With help from o-l-a-v
I was following the guide from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2450306 (really bad and unfulfilled).
It misses some vital points.
The point/step I missed was "Go to the "Mount" menu and mount System."
----
Just booting to twrp recovery and exit isn't enought. I need to mount System first.

fastboot boot "recovery_image_name.img" (usually just recovery.img or twrp_recovery.img but can vary)
Yes, it's there. But when I try to edit it with ES Explorer I get an error when I want to save it. How can I make the change
Edit : got it ! Apparently ESE can't modify read-only files, I used X-Plore which has an option doing just that.
I found 650 Mb of logs in data/gps which I could delete with ESE, I feel much lighter now !
