Hi,
I've recently made the jump from iPhone to Android (Samsung S8 to be precise) and I'm curious as to all these customisation techniques you guys are posting.

I've tried to google ROMs and some of the acronyms I've seen being thrown about but can't seem to get much information on it.

I've always jailbroke my iPhones in the past so I'm not a complete noobcake, I just have no idea how the Android community goes about getting all their customisation.

Would anyone be able to shed light on the process of doing it to my S8? Like, is a ROM the equivalent to iPhones Cydia? I used Emulator ROMS to play Pokemon Gold on my old iPhone - but I'm not sure how a ROM relates to customising the phone.

Thanks in advance.

*EDIT - Also, what is Nova I keep seeing people talking about?!

Yeah it's a lot of information than.
Well a lot of customization can be done with a different launcher that you can just download from the playstore. Nova is a good one.

For flashing roms... Well I don't do that anymore because of the... Well it's complicated these days and Samsung is constantly updating **** to make it harder.

But coming from an iPhone I think the many different launchers and icon packs that are available in the store are more than enough.
