General (FIX!!!) 3rd Party Launchers and the Recent Apps button issues, consistent replication.

Hello,

Solution that worked for me was to not change anything in the developer mode. I simply added a gesture to activate recent apps. Most third party launchers have swipe gestures which can be setup in the launcher settings menu. I used single finger swipe up to launch recent apps. worked perfectly for me. Hope this helps others too.

Also got this on the OnePlus 10 pro, using nova, it's so annoying, can't say I've replicated this with stock launcher as yet, I'll play & advise.

Any updates from anyone else on this issue.

Stock P6 on Beta 3 and using Nova I see my phone sort of freeze using the back gesture. All I can do is go back and forth between the overview and the app drawer. The phone is completely unresponsive to any other inputs and I have to restart the phone to get out of it. I tried Lawnchair and got the same thing.
I tried switching to the nav bar instead of gestures but saw the problem eventually anyway.
Using the Pixel launcher (not a fan) is my only option at the moment.

go into system settings gestures and quick tap and select recent apps from the list and toggle it on and I've found it works pretty well as a replacement gesture recents and i never use the pixel launcher anymore unless it's a modded version

FIX!!!!!!

Settings > System > Developer Options > Animator duration scale

Turn to 'Animation off'

The Window animation scale and Transition animation scale has no effect on this.

After changing this, I have not been able to replicate this issue.

My best guess is that the recent apps button is pressed while the animation is still going, and the phone has the electronic equivalent of a mild stroke.

Can anyone else confirm that this corrects the issue? I haven't seen a solution like this on any of the many threads about this.

Also setting it (I set the others too to make it even) to 1.5x and up fixes it. I have to swipe twice on recents first app showing but I think that's my fault, I tried to downgrade it from ApkPure APKs to try and fix it.
