Apparently, it seems my bricked phone keeps disconnecting during flashing process. I dont think it the fault of the cable because I have used different ones and they all seem to work fine with other phones. I have tried a different computer and still the same results. it connects as qualcom 9008 but once I try to start flashing, it disconnects and interrups the flashing process. my phone just shows a grey screen now when I power it up with the battery in. also, I was trying to upgrade from linear os to the latest linear os. I cant fine the tot out there so im using zv6 currently. could this also be the problem? thanks in advance

Thanks for helping to get out of Factory Reset 2

I kept hanging at 89% FBoot Check Failed. This time I did what you said during the FBoot check: I held the power button through the MiniOS screen and hitting OK on the screen check. I waited 5 seconds, then HELD the power button down again while hit the "Normal boot (+power)", which rebooted the phone into the expected Android is Upgrading screen. Note that I used the LS990ZV8_00.zip, which has the ZV8 tot inside and the LGUP_8974.dll in the LG Flash Tool with the Action Mode set to Board DL.

Currently running Sprint original ZV8 for ls990 v5.0.1. Accepting over the air upgrade. Now gotta figure how to root....:silly:
Holding down the power button did it. That is when I did your part of it by releasing power 5 seconds then doing it again.

THANKS ALOT
