why do you need a fix for 2.34 eclair rom? this is only for froyo.

Ok I give up. I have searched but I cant find my answer and I hate to admit it but I dont know what Im doing. How do you install the flash fixes? They are in zip format and I just dont know how to install them.

Because i flashed a ROM based on 2.34 and the camera crashes when i switch to it from gallery. Camcorder also crashes. There are no shortcuts in the appdrawer for either and when i asked the developer about it he offered no help but instead he said i offended him and then he insulted me on his twitter assuming i did something wrong (which i havnt). So i see a thread about a camera fix for the Defy and naturally here i am asking about it. I know its for froyo but is there maybe a chance it works on Eclair?

no, it won´t work, but you can solve your problems by flashing the 2.34.1.sbf from here using RSDLite-4.7. and if you still having problems after that, you need to do a full wipe from recovery.

Ok I got the flash fix installed (using adb) and it works for one picture then no more. I know Ive read it a dozen times what to do next so Ill find it again.


Could it be that this fix works on ME525 and not MB525 defy's?
I have an MB525 = Fix not working.

If you have the issue like I did where I was running the 2.2 chinese rooted by superoneclick, I have resolved the issue with the flash where it was out of sync and only flashed once and then you had to reboot before it would work again - by simply wiping data from the camera app via titanium back up - I now have a 100% working rom, sweet!

Another kind off problem with camera

I have recovered from 2.34.2 to 2.2 FROYO and i had that problem with camera freeze. I solve it with first fix. Now i have another problem, my flash work every time , my camera don't freeze anymore, but, when it using flash light, the pictures are totally BLACK, if doesn't use flash, the pictures are OK, with flash, total BLACK.

Do you have any clue?

Can you make a sbf and patch for undo the fix ?
I got a problem after tried this fix,i can't use flash light for another application excepted the original camera application.
I tried to flash another rom but it still have a problem.
