I have the same error with you on zenfone 5. I install google service and play store instead.

Wondering if anyone figured out a fix for the dreaded error code 70 when installing gapps
I'm on a Nexus 6 trying to install a 9.0 Bliss rom
I've install custom roms hundreds of times and never ran across this issue before
I've tried pretty much everything listed in this thread and every thread and video I could find on goolge and havn't been able to get around it

Hi, today I'm bringing you a fix for the error 70 that will come up after installing google apps in TWRP because of system partition space problems.

You will have to follow this steps:

- Go to the recovery menu and do a factory reset.

- Search the ROM and install it.

- (This is a very important step for it to work). Go to TWRP recovery and select wipe.

- Then go to Advanced Wipe.

- Once you are there, select System partition and click repair or change file system.

- Some options will come up, and select Resize File System.

- Once you have followed all these steps you can nos install all google apps without problem.

If you still have any issue or problem dont hesitate to comment, and I will try to help you. Thanks!

Cannot boot recovery partition failed

Hi everyone,

I have an issue,
Yesterday I tried to install LineageOS 16 and GappsPico
Since my Manta Nexus 10 only have space for 700M, I couldnt install any type of Gapps. -> got error code 70
So I do a partition changed.

After deleting and recreating partition, I mistakenly reboot the linux kernel. So it means my Nexus doesnt have any TWRP or anything
Right now, if I pressed power + volume up - hoping to get the recovery option - which I don't get, I only got until the start (google logo).
Quite make sense since theres no boot loader and OS inside it.

Is there a way to fix this? or its just doom for me?
really appreciate it

It would be best if you flashed a smaller gapps package, if possible rather than resizing the partition
