You cannot downgrade firmware due to bootloader version numbers hence errors ie: Oreo to nougat

That's because you a more recent version installed on your Phone.

Bassicly you can only go forward and can't go back in versions.

Take note of AP SW REV binary bit which is shown in the download mode screen with the text on the top left.

That needs to match number in firmware.

e.g

G955FXXU3CRGH

Bolded number is binary bit. Either match that number or have firmware higher than that number. Then it'll flash no problem.

s7 fails on sboot.bin

I've got an s7, it's an g930f international model unlocked boot loader, or it was until I flashed a wrong file a bl xxs Europe branded file now I can't get anything on my boot loader, it won't let me wipe via twrp, running 3.2.3, and it won't let me reflash via odin a new unlocked boot loader bl xxu file. My problem is this flash took out my EFS partition, I have no mobile number, no mobile network provider, no ability to dial, no IMEI, no nothing. I restored via dd a efs backup but that hasn't done it. I'd appreciate any help.

I've been searching for hours for a solution. Tried everything and it never worked, thank god you were here to save us all. And a little tip to everyone out there who got stuck at "setup connection" , all you have to do is unplug your phone from the pc and do it again and it should get pass the setup connection.

I used 3.13.3 version of Odin and still gets stuck at boot file. Any solutions ? Someone mentioned to use a PIT file to resolve the issue. However, my phone will only go into Download mode, so how to get PIT file for it ?
