Q: Y U NO GIVE 53 FPS LIKE IN 2.1 BUT 34 FPS ???
A: Blame SE. FPS is fully unlocked, the stock fw is just that slow. Waiting for custom ROMs

Devs from SE are really that worthless ? ... I mean they took ages to develop that **** slow GB ? ... or Devs in XDA are unique ? ..

I thought gingerbread was capped at 30-32 fps regardless of what phone you used. That was my understanding.

It's not really capped. The 30 fps on CM7 was a driver problem (afaik it was fixed when someone provided workaround using 2.2 libs).

yes you need to be prerooted.


edit:I just flashed it and there's an immediate, great difference in the launcher and menus. It's now really smooth! This is now the best stock ROM ever (with your tweak)! Thanks!

Basically this just disables vsync? Nice trick you found there.

Edit: Just tried it out, works great.

I am currnently not using this fps cap unlock thing and am getting 30 fps . SE must done something bad if even after unlocked fps u only get 34 fps.
