[Fix] Gear Fix on N9

You are on simply stock rooted with custom kernel or you are using a custom ROM?

I am basically stock just used ROM: DETONATOR_EXTREME_MOD_N9_OREO-8.1_TMO_EFS-CSC_.zip to change CSC to T-Mobile so I can use WiFi Calling and VoLTE.

If you are on stock ROM then how come you have sign hacked mod included in your ROM?

I am not sure that sign hacked mod is included. I'd have to re-read the description.

Status Update:

I modified several files within /odm and /system/omc/ regarding my CSC. I pointed more files to TMB and the N960U. Once I did that I rebooted and installed your Gear S Plugin 2.2.03.180.apk. after installing the apk I powered on the watch, went to bluetooth settings in the phone and let it scan for devices. The watch and phone found eachother and installed the Galaxy wearable app automaticly. My devices are now paired and working!!

Status Update:

Once I did that I rebooted and installed your Gear S Plugin 2.2.03.180.apk. after installing the apk I powered on the watch, went to bluetooth settings in the phone and let it scan for devices. easiest way to fix watch pairing without changing CSC is to install ES File Explorer. Navigate to /system.
Edit the build.prop file and change line 252 from

ro.config.tima=1

to

ro.config.tima=0

save the file and reboot.

next open Magisk and install the module "libsecure_storage companion for rooted Samsung devices"

reboot again. You should now be able to use S Health and pair your wearable device with full functionality.

If you wish to use WIFI Calling and VoLTE you will need to change CSC which is more involved. See links below

There's a possibility that it supports it as long as you are using an Exynos variant but ask them.. I'm not quite sure

Hey, Marry Christmas! Did you manage to use beast kernel and pair galaxy watch at the same time? Because I cant. Flashing the kernel breaks the pairing. Are you using these apps or the official one from the play store?

Yup.. I am using those apks that is posted here plus alexdnr with beast kernel as you can see on my signature but you gotta reset your smart watch and after that... all is good until you reboot.. once you reboot.. it won't pair again so.. you will need to do it again

I know this is not good but at least we can pair it while using custom rom + custom kernel

If you want get it work forever... well... you must use stock kernel

How did you manage to install the apks? Whenever I try, the plugin will fail, or it will succeed, but the other 2 will fail

What do your essential fix make so that we can get paired? I tried many things before asking you, but this is my last chance. Thanks in advance!

I don't have answer for your imaginary fix! As I said earlier, my ROM/Tool doesn't have any fix to "Pair device" You can check this by "Not Applying Essential fix" on my ROM and it should pair way it is with essential fix. I suggest you to seek help from ROM maker and assist him/her by providing required logs or anything he/she asked to fix. Or wait for pie that may fix your issue.

I am not angry lol! but you can understand I can not fix that doesn't exist on my ROM, If you try just stock ROM and I believe it should be same like my ROM.
Apk's work only if ROM is having sign hack mode included on ROM you wanted to use. Other than this really I don't have more suggestions sorry!
