If you are having problems getting the Lg Optimus One while inserting the SD Card, these are the steps you have to follow to get it fixed:

Switch on the phone, then remove the SD card.
Switch the phone of, insert the SD card.
Reboot into recovery mode by pressing and holding Home button+Volume button down+On button
Go into storage and mountage.
Press mount SD card and make sure it says "unmount" after you have done it.
Go back and reboot the phone.

Tips, it helps if you reboot the phone throw Recovery Mode.

Just thought I would share this, sorry for starting a new thread but I think it might be useful to some people

You should be able to install a recovery through Rom Manager. I don't know if it would be dependant on SD card though, because it does need to download the recovery before it is flashed*

Read before you suggest anything.
Never use ROM manage to flash recovery as there are lot of reports of bricking the device, because of incorrectly flashed recoveries.
Try RecoveryFlasher from XDA developers or play store.

I too was having this problem. I fixed the sdcard not reading problem by carefully plucking the metal tines of the reader up to increase the physical contact to inserted cards. The one that seemed to be the problem was the shortest of them all (I don't know if this is usually a problem due to its size, AWWW poor thing) Anywho it fixed the issue for me. be careful though as they aren't all that strong. And will snap if over extended.
