not that far. it says "obtaining ip address", but i dont think it ever does. it just cuts out completely after that and stops. i dont know about the Ghz.... i will have to look into that tonight. Like i said before, everything is defaulted, so pretty much auto everything.
Don't worry about that the Ghz. The evo can't even connect on the 5 Ghz band nor can it see any such APs on that band. The chip inside doesn't support it.
If your Evo cannot get further than that, there are usually two things at play. Either the DHCP server on your router isn't working correctly or you haven't whitelisted the Evo on the MAC address filters. Also, make sure you have entered the correct passphrase for your AP/router.
