Did you also flash the mod? You got to first plug in your headphones before open the app but only in the first time.

Thank you for your quick answer.

oups, I forget to plug the headphone the first time.

Is there a way to go back and re-start the process ?

You don't have too. Once you plugged in the headphones everything should work.

You need the headphone mod installed to open the app otherwise it just force close. But once you install the mod and open the app just untick everything in there. That should only bring up the icon I guess. Don't tested this yet.

It worked just fine. Did exactly the way you said.

Thanks Chris :highfive:

Hi Ladies and Gentleman.
My name is Chris from Omega Team. Today i present you my Fix (workaround), for the not showing headphone icons on 4.1.2 Roms. Especially on third party launcher. First of all, the credits, plus a special thanks for his permission goes out to rickythefox! He´s the one that created the app and the toogle zip. You can have a look at his original threads here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756355 and here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1763441. Please also visit his thread and press thanks for his great work he done!

Now lets get started:

The Problem:

On 4.1.2 roms the Headphone icon not showing up at the statusbar and also you can´t see the toogles in the notification bar. This is a known problem if you´re using third party launcher, like Apex, Nova,...

The solution:

I came across rickys thread and also his app. I installed it and it worked fantastic. So how I get it work.

1. Download the apk from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1191316&d=1342018263. And the 12 headphone shortcut mod from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1189195&d=1341927364

2. Install the apk like a normal apk. Open it and give the app root permission. Now it should force close, that is not a problem, just hit ok.

3.Reboot into recovery mode, go to install zip from sd and flash the 12 headphone shortcut mod zip. After that just reboot.

4. After your phone booted up completely plug in your headphones. You should now see the icon in status bar and also the shortcuts in notification bar. The app you installed before can now be open perfect and you can edit the shortcuts the way you like.

Please let me know if it worked for you and what configuration you are running (Rom/Launcher).

Its been tested perfect until now on:

Omega 34 with Apex Pro and Nova Prime launcher

Thank you guys for your attention!
Best regards
Chris

Did you edited something from original app and cwm package you link in first page??

No I didn't change something. But as you can clearly see I wrote workaround! Also I give credits and ask for permission to use ricks work! And I also post the link to the original thread! My contribution is to give a step by step how you get it work correct because only install the app or just the mod file will do nothing! So what's your point? No if you plugged it in the first time the app should always open even if you ain't got plugged in the headphones.

No problem mate :) was just trying to understand the thread....and thank you because with it now I'm using this feature :D

I'm on DarkyROM v8.2 that is based on XXELL4 and everything is working good.

P.S.: I've test it also with previous DarkyROM based on XXELKC and it was also a success.

I tried it on Omega 35 + Adw and it worked. But when i plug the headphone i can't hear the music from poweramp when i was able before.

Now I froze the two apk and rebooted and I'm back to normal. Don't know which of the two is conflicting the contextprovider apk or the headphone apk.

Thought I damaged something when i didn't see the headphone icon but now i realized that there's not even the selection in accessories. :)

Anyway the idea of this thread is good. I simply can't get it working with poweramp.

Thank you very much for your report mate! I will make a test and if it really don't work I make a notice in OP.

Edit: I'm tested it on new version 37 that I'm testing atm with apex and no problem here. Did you tried it on a different launcher?

No. I tried it only on Adw launcher, omega 36 (i thought it was 35) jkay 14.7. 3

Maybe it's related to the fact that it opened the fm radio automatically. But i turned off the fm radio and still no audio played through poweramp's headphone.
Do you have the fm radio toggled in the headphone app? Mine was selected with the default install.
I'll unfreeze both apps, , reboot un toggle fm radio and tell you how it went. Maybe with freezing fm radio and see...

Edit: i simply un toggled fm radio from the headphone app and when i plugged the headphone it started playing in poweramp perfectly.
So it works great on adw. I guess now the conflict might show related to fm radio turning on at some point before poweramp but it may be occasional.

Anyway it's good now!
Thanks!

You dont need to flash that zip. Just extract the app from it and install it as a normal app. Been using it for a while.
