So far, I haven't heard anyone losing anything on SERO (aside from the broken MMS). Those that have lost some things were in a different legacy Sprint account.

Alpineman, has anyone been able to successfully clone a tp2 to the new Samsung S5? LTE is just horrendous and I'm not willing to pay $50 for Sero Premium for horrible data service. I actually have to just disable LTE and just enable 3g to get reliable connections. If I can get my tp2 cloned onto the S5 I'll keep sprint and downgrade to the $30 Sero. Otherwise I'll have to jump ship to T-Mobile and come back later on Sprint Framily plan.

Thanks. I did check that thread a couple weeks ago and didn't see anything. I'll check again. Just want to make sure before I brick my new S5. It's unbelievable that their new Sprint Spark LTE is so bad that it causes reception problems as well as battery drain problem for the phone. I just had to disable LTE all together and everything is great.

Thanks for the pic of your account services. That made me decide to compare it to mine, and I noticed that picture blocking was ON. I was playing with that before I read through all the posts here and never turned it back off. That fixed two TP2, but not a feature phone that isn't on the list, but per the manual uses Picture Mail. I'll have to get a phone that states has MMS, or get that person out of the contract and move it onto a Framily plan.

Hmmm...For those using a TP2, can you try enabling picture blocking... Then maybe after an hour disable the blocking? Maybe that will reset things on Sprint's end and will get your MMS working again. Just a thought.

Thanks for everything AlpineMan. I'm on a GS3 with TP2 donor on Sero 500.

My MMS has not worked since the picture mail decommission. My May 9th bill had Picture Mail removed from my account. After reading the thread today, I checked my account and Picture Mail was added again and I am able to send and receive MMS again. I did not do anything to my account or phone. Maybe Sprint is going back and adding Picture Mail/MMS to TP2 accounts. For those having problems, check again today.

Thanks for that. Maybe it's just a matter of time before the rest of the TP2 users get their MMS back (atleast those on SERO).

In theory this fix should work with any sprint, boost, or vargin mobile phone? I have the moto g from boost & have been looking for a REAL fix.. I have a work around did but would rather fix it the right way so I won't have to use a 3rd party app.

Yup. Just backup your APN settings. Perhaps backup the entire ROM if you have custom recovery (just in case).

bump/update
I'm using a real tp2, mms broke when they turned off picture mail, I called sprint *2, told them about the problem, they reset/refreshed the data (don't ask, I forgot what they technically said and don't know proper words for it). I also hard reset my phone (probably not needed, but I needed to do it anyways so this was as good a time as any). I then updated the profile through settings (they told me to do it after the refresh to data). My phone set there for a while trying to send mms to no one, i got tired of it and thought the phone was broken by it, planned to do another hard reset the next morning, put the phone to airplane mode and went to sleep. In the morning the mms stopped trying to send and I noticed that I could send mms again

Just got a note that my brother in law's MMS also started working again without having to do anything on his phone or account. He didn't have to call Sprint either. He's using a Palm Treo Pro 850 on SERO.

Hello, I'm using a GS4 on CM11, ported from Virgin Mobile. This fix previously worked on my Epic 4G Touch on CM10. I have tried this fix over and over but it doesn't seem to work on CM11. Any tips?

Try moving the APN Backup and Restore apk to /system/priv-app. Reboot. Then proceed with the instructions.

I re-activated my TP2-cloned S3 and mms is good again. Was enjoying the S5 for a few weeks but the LTE service sucks so badly it's not worth spending the extra $20 and since so far there's no known success of cloning a donor phone to the S5 so I decided to switch back to my S3. Not sure if this has been like it for a while but I have to call Sprint Telesales to do the phone swap back; can't do it online. I asked why and the CSR told me because it's a special employee account not available to the public and that's the only way of swapping phones or activating a new phone without accidentally changing your plan to a regular plan. I didn't even ask but the CSR volunteered to switch my Sero Premium ($40 + $10 for my S5) back to SERO basic ($30) since she saw I was swapping back to the TP2. :)

Here's the direct Sero / Sprint Telesales # if anyone is interested : 888-876-8381

Can't get PC to recognize Galaxy S3

Alpineman, you seemed to have a lot of great answers, so I was wondering if you had a solution to this. I'm on Windows 7 - although I tried a different pc with Windows 8 - same thing. I get "unknown USB device" I've downloaded drivers, talked to Samsung (what a waste), went into the device menu and tried to manually select the driver. The pc says the driver is installed and it also says that the best driver has been selected for your device, but it still has it listed as unknown with no access to the media files. Without the pc recognizing the phone, Kies doesn't work either. Do you know of any fix?

Thanks for any suggestions
Angel
