[FIXED] [ZC551KL] Sim not detected after morning OTA update Zenfone 3 Laser

Hi,

On morning zenfone prompted about update, so i installed it.
After reboot, i noticed that sim card was not detected.

What didn't helped :

• Wipe cache
• Hold power button for 40 sec (asked by asus support)
• Factory reset (asked by asus support)

The current installed version is 14.40.144.6
On asus website, only 2 older versions are avalaible, can't installed them with adb, says "Can't install this package (Fri Oct 14 20:19:41 CST 2016) over newer build (Tue Nov 8 01:13:20 CST 2016)"

I think i need corresponding Recovery.img, bootloader.img in order to downgrade but i'm not sure.

Since it took asus monthes on zenfone 2 (my ZE551ML died 2 weeks ago) to bring out android MM, i have no hope there. Any way to install custom rom ? (i guess no)

I tried this and nothing has worked for me. Is anyone else having better luck? I just got my phone in the mail today and cannot get it to work at all. My SIM card is detected but my cellular state is disconnected and I can't do anything with texts and phone calls. Wifi is working just fine.

hi there! how did you fix it? thread have been deleted in zentalk, i revert my zenfone 3 max to its old firmware version 13.1.x.x, all working except the Sim slot

My last update is for Android 8 (last year).

I have ZC551KL.
SW: WW_80.20.52.90_201903

I have not received others updates.
