I just used my Xperia Z1 for taking photos and i realised it has flash bleed!
Im not using any case or bumper.
Is this normal?! Can anyone take a picture at night with flash light on and post it here so we can have a reference ?

I thought this was only a Z1C issue !?

Sony... ffs.

Image attached, shot at night with Manual Mode.

Wow i really forgot that.
Yes i do, It doesnt cover the LED or the camera though. - i will peel it off and report again soon.
Is there any Protective Film that doesnt cause this issue ? Some Sort of Tempered Glass?

This is my flash bleed.
I do have a case.
Only happens at a certain scene or angle
Never had that on 4.3 with the case
but maybe i just didn't notice it before.

Happened to me before, sine I have a back protective film.
Check the gap between your camera and flash, if the protective film is there then just cut it out (what I did with mine), then your bleed should go away.
Everytime that you put something in between the camera and the flas whether its film or case, then you'll get the bleed.I think the light crawls underneath it causing it.
Try it then let us know!

had on my Z1 before, it is either the problem of case or back screen protector(mine didn't cover the camera or flash too), after i removed the back screen protector, i never got the flash bleed problem anymore, i used the baseus flip case before, and it caused me flash bleed, now i am using normal case and camera work perfectly :D, it is certainly not hardware problem like Z1s.

I've noticed this with white xperia z1.
It doesn't happen on the black ones.

Ok the whites, the light reflects over the white glass at the back to expose the bottom of the camera lens.

Did you saw the flash of Z2? It's more distanced from the lens. Weird, right? Why correct the phone structure when it supposed to make amazing pictures. Maybe I know why! The flash is too close to the lens on Z1. Now we have to pay attention an every detail or settings to make the pictures right.

Bro, It happened to me too on my Z1 & (FIXED)

what caused the flash bleed?... well, It's definitely the back screen protector that i applied because It doesn't have a camera and flash cut out, so they are covered.

The pics below shows the flash bleeding in some shots and the others after I peeled off the back screen protector. All the pics were taken in a dark places.

All were taken using manual mode @ 20mp with two Flash types: Auto Flash & Flash fill

1- Flash Auto (with back screen protector on)

2- Flash Auto (back screen protector peeled off)

3- Flash Auto (with back screen protector on)

4- Flash Auto (back screen protector peeled off)

5- Flash Auto (with back screen protector on)

6- Flash Auto (back screen protector peeled off)

7- Flash fill (with back screen protector on)

8- Flash fill (back screen protector peeled off)

9- Flash fill (with back screen protector on)

10- Flash fill (back screen protector peeled off)

Mods and OP sorry for off-topic.

Yes,I used Satio and was angry when they drop support for it. I was angry at my Xperia Arc, then xperia s (slow update, yellow tint etc) but yet another time I buy z1 :D
