Flash HTC ruu

Aftersales trying viperrom for a while i wanted to go back to stock rom.
So i have downloaded the right ruu for my Cid, put the ruu zip file with the right name into the root directory from my storage, restarted into download mode but after that nothing happens.

What are the right steps andere methodes to install the stock ruu?

I think you have to put it onto an external micro SD card, otherwise it doesn't work..

I used the intern storage, have not tried a SD card yet.
Must i enter an command in adb after OR before this step?

The easiest way, if your not worried about losing data saved on your phone. Go to HTC website and download the RUU.exe, save it to your PC plug in your phone and click on the RUU. It will delete everything on your phone. But after finished it will be just like it was out the box.

Do you also have a link to the ruu.exe? I can only find the sourcecode on their website and only the zip file on xda.

Just go to the updated and downloads page. It should show directions on how to update. At the bottom of the page, there will be a link to download the RUU.exe

Nope, there isn't..
