Unfortunately I have flashed Lineage OS badly on my LG G8s and it made a brick, it does not go beyond the logo (LG G8s ThinQ). It only turns on in EDL mode or Download mode (although here it is not recognized by my PC).

They help me? I would like to flash the KDZ but I can't find a way and I already have all the drivers installed.
I'm in the same situation except I was trying to unlock my bootloader so I could root and my phone never went into fastboot. I tried flashing anything. Now all my phone does is blink. I can go into edl and download. My pcsays it sees it in edl mode but when I flash it does nothing. Same with download mode.

In edl mode, flash xbl, xbl_config, boot, abl and laf files and then see if you can use LGUP in the download mode to flash your full kdz file

I really screwed my phone up now. I've gotten so stressed out over this and angry at my phone and decided I'd like to see what erase entire flash would do. Let's just say it wasn't one of my better ideas. I believe I've killed my phone.

I've been in almost the same spot (didn't erase the fsg partition thankfully) . . . just try to flash most of the files from the kdz except the large ones like OP and userdata, at some point your phone should allow LGUP to work in the download mode. Without fsg your sim will not work, but can come to that later . . .
Edit : if you saved a backup of the fsg, like you should have, there is no problem, just flash it back

sprint sucks because they dont shahre their kdz firmware
Yes that is very true. It's clearly a good idea to know this ahead of time, and it's also true for at&t.

The very first thing anyone with a carrier variant device, that doesn't have the kdz available, is to back up the entire rom.

The utility I use to do that is bkerler edl python utilities. There's a github page for them. He even created a flashable iso which boots ubuntu and has all dependencies resolved and the proper version of python installed.

I've reinstalled my sprint firmware 4 or 5 times in the last 2 months, just going back to stock after having messed around with flashing kor a11 or something else.

If you have no kdz, you have to do this. And keep in mind, there are partitions on the phone that are specific to that device, they have things like imei and s/n in them, and are not 'interchangeable' like a kdz is.

Sorry u have these issues, but at least now you know, in the future, back up what there is no kdz for.

I wonder if you can open the band "network lock" of the Xfinity mobile operator of a LG G8 ThinQ G820qm5 using the dump of another equipment of the same model and operator but unlocked to use any sim

Enviado desde mi LM-G810 mediante Tapatalk

no i thought maybe can customize it from g8 to g8s dll. respectively from V40

    You need:

    LGUP 1.15 - LGup_cmd.exe
    LGUP DLL for G8
    LG USB Drivers
    LG G8 ThinQ latest firmware

You don't need to disable anything. Just disconnect battery, then plug in battery and you can connect in download like normal. You need to remove demo mode if you want to turn off device with buttons but if you disconnect battery, just reconnect battery and plug in with volume up and flash it.

Also this video for remove demo mode with passcode is only to remove demo mode from normal carrier devices (if your device has AT&T icons use this method and device will be good as new, only use my method if model number ends in V - G820V, G710V, etc...).

I did use Octopus to convert and flash it. I never tried with LGUP. If you have octopus I could share the converted file (*.oct format) but easy enough to do yourself.

On that G820V , did you have to disable retail mode before flashing G820UM310d_00_USC_US_OP_0731.kdz?

I prefer armed robbery. Just put on a mask, 2 minutes you are in , you are out. But truck/cargo hijacking is a good source too. Can pay a crackhead to just run out of the store with demo models. There are many ways to obtain them. Definitely not on $80 on eBay. These LG G8 demo models are too precious.

You have a demo mode device? Where did you get it from?

I was able to flash G820UM310d_00_USC_US_OP_0731.kdz firmware with Octopus. I flashed a demo model G820V and an AT&T G820UM. The G820UM completed flash successfully but now screen says "OPID Mismatched". The G820V flashed and actually boots into the home screen and changed model to G820UM (but of course no signal because demo model)

The AT&T G820UM, I still have download mode but no stock AT&T firmware to flash.

Can I cross flash with this process?
I've a LG G8 AT&T and I want to crossflash the Korean firmware.

As far as i know, there is no way to convert AT&T G8 model into Korean variants now.
