The only important thing for motorola is making money. They want to sell the same phone with ginger, and you will have to pay it if you want the update...

True that, but how can't we not be winners : new defy users get a small upgrade and 90% of the same defy, and we get ROMs from Defy+, it pushs the "support" of the Defy finally and everyone has nearly the same phone.

For me Defy is underclocked and Defy+ is overclocked so

I don't understand Defy+ have locked bootloader and Atrix4g no Motorola say that new phone come with unlocked bootloader but NO

Just wait for that and can flash a good ROM with custom kernel

Who knows maybe with a future ROM from the Defy+ we can unlock the bootloader. Maybe not.... we have 2 see.

im having issues with bluetooth.. cant receive files form other phones or laptops.. doesnt even give a notification on my defy and says failed to send on the other phone..

I have also issue with bluetooth, I can't receive files, but with Bluetooth file Transfer all works fine.

thats true:| but lets hope that our devs will port the 2.3.4 from the defy+ to ours.motorola is doing this only for making more money instead of updating defy to 2.3.4 they make another phone with same specs only with 2.3.4 and 1000mhz

Hi there.

Tested the installation metod OK!
Like someone told it, it would be good if the buttons were not so bright (specially when I look at a film they never switch off )

The phone is very hot (I tried baseband switcher to select France Baseband... will see)

The hardware decoding for the video doesn't function.

The focus on the photo is not very accurate.

And in the end, I installed 2ndinit and vsetsel and overclocked to 1100. Great and very fast.

Motorola Defy ME525 is a regular Motorola Defy but for china market and it has stock Froyo...i think we are expecting an MB526 or ME526
