I've been working on a flashable zip for HTC SENSE Camera + Gallery for Android Lollipop 5.0.1 and 5.1...

Works also on non m8 phones...

if you are using xposed use xinternel module

You know I've got duo fx fixed and working in my release of this, right? Both the sense 6 and sense 7 versions...

dont want to be rude by just advising to another sense 7 cam port thats allready out there for a few weeks. - I can confirm that its working for AOSP ROMS aswell. - (htc m8)

Perhaps you would like to look into that files to probably improve your version (dunno if there is still something to do better, I think you port allready works awesome) and getting a port thats even better than this two single versions.

If you dont like this "throw-in" of a similar work, just done by another person, I would like to say sorry for this post. - Just let me know and I will delete it directly.

I wasn't trying to distract from this version at all! He did stuff with his Sense6 version that I didn't think of until I did the Sense7 one. I was just trying to say that the key to fixing duo focus was in my gallery files. Decompile - there are edits needed in a few files, just flipping a few checks to 0x1 and always forcing it to display the duo items. I'd be happy to help spread the knowledge, and didn't mean for my post to be an attack at all.

IMHO, the more of us there are trying to fix the stupidity that is "HTC breaks their software so it won't even work on their own devices". I mean, come on. There is literally no reason these apps shouldn't just work. So, let's get ALL the apps working!

Edit: Also, I'm having trouble lately with Sense7 Gallery FC'ing, so the more help there, the better.

...I just wasnt referring to your post...we both have written simultanious I guess. - I just wanted, to inform the dev about you work and probably hint for getting together, to fix even more HTC related restrictions. Dunno if I just got your post wrong or if its time to get a nap

but as you said....everyone who helps to make all that (really nice) HTC APPS free to use on stock android, is doing the totally right thing! It makes me really happy to use all that stuff on AOSP ...keep ´em comming guys! (Y)

I flashed your sense 7 version yesterday and couldn't find the duo effects. And when I tried to open the HTC gallery I got an fc every time.

I pointed that out in my second post here. That's why my ROM is currently using the Sense7 camera with sense6 gallery, because despite having duo FX enabled in the editor, it fc's trying to inflate a layout.
