Flashing radio with fastboot?

I can't seem to find any threads about this when it comes to the Legend.

Is it possible to flash the official radio.img from the Froyo RUU, even though I'm not S-OFF? Or is the only way through recovery?

Anyhoo, questions should be in general. But flashing the radio through ROM Manager (ClockworkMOD) will do the job

What's that mean?

I'm still confused. I have radio.img from the RUU update. Do I just zip it and put it on the card? Or are scripts needed as well? Looking through some of the other radio updates some have scripts and some are just a zipped radio.img.

If your Legend is S-OFF, you could possibly flash the radio using fastboot, otherwise from recovery, yes you'll need a script

Signing the zip won't be necessery though, so keep the same script (and paths) but replace radio.img

Yeah, I was wondering if it's possible to just replace the radio.img file, keeping the script intact.

I ended up flashing one of the radios from another post here, just to be safe. Until I learn a bit more about this.
