Flashing TWRP on Huawei p10 plus

Hi there just trying to root my p10 plus, I've bootlocked it and have flash twrp but when I try and reboot into recovery I get the "Your device is unsafe..." screen then i hold the vol + button it takes me to the standard EMUI recovery I have tried flashing it several time and still the same problem, no errors have been shown on my mac. Any help would really be appreciated

Were you plugged into your computer while booting in recovery ? Because you can only boot in custom recovery not plugged in

Some phones overwrite the recovery if they boot to system before you make it into recovery ... Can't say for this one as I haven't had the problem you're experiencing. Right after the recovery flash - pull the usb cord, hold button to power down and hold vol+ all the way through that unsafe screen.

Thank you very much for this information. I have tried many times to instal TWRP, but didn't pull the USB cable.
Now TWRP is installed properly...:good:
