-3) Download the ROG Phone Unlock Tool and copy it on your phone and install it then run it. The phone will boot twice. DO NOT PRESS POWER TO STOP THE BOOT. It will wipe your data automatically.
in your thread no have step to download phone unlock tool.... before root should be unlock bootloader or its ok if no unlock bootloader??

Yes, DEFINITELY unlock bootloader, it is in step 0, the first step... On my thread.
Have you successfully flashed 1908.12 now, is your phone working again?
Any news? Have you flashed 1908.12 yet? How are you getting on? Most importantly, is your phone working now?

I was out of town doing work, after I returned directly I tried to flash 1908.
I only brought a laptop...
I let you know when I get home... and fast flash rom 1908 from you....

Make sure you extract the raw zip to the root of C drive, and remove the original zip file from the folder you have extracted b(if it's located there). Then run flashall_AFT.cmd from fastboot mode...
Also, do let us know how you get on.. Really want to help you get your phone back up and running...

this titorial change fingerprint from cn to ww just for ww 1907 rom or can use to ww 1908 too?just same tutorial if my rom ww 1908.12?i look the link file is 190733...can use to 1908?
No, you need to use the matching root boot img for your rom version... One moment, I'll get you a link to 1908.12...

No sorry dude, I only have root img. Once you have changed your fingerprint to WW head to this thread to update the rom...

That guide has steps to unroot latest 1910.35 rom with stock and root boot img's for that version...
EDIT: and yes, step 6) but you'll now be typing 'fastboot flash boot rootww190812.img' instead of 1907.33...

my rom is WW 1908.12 and my fingerprint is CN version..
u means i go to change my fingerprint to ww version 1908.12 first and without unroot n unlock bootloader and then go to flash to rom ww 1910.35?
if my fingerprint is change to WW version i can manual update but without step unroot n unloack bootloader, can do that?
yes, you don't have to unroot and re-lock bootloader if you don't want to... but because i don't have the stock 1908.12 img, there's no way (unless you find it somewhere) to unroot and relock bootloader.
so the only thing i can suggest is to either look for the stock 1908.12 img or update to 1910.35 with the manual zip, then carry on the steps to unroot and re-lock bootloader with both the threads i linked to...
personally, i just keep the bootloader unlocked and keep root, that way i can install adaway, magisk modules etc etc, swift backup - for backing up your apps/wifi/call logs etc - is a great app too, but that too requires root...

now if i start this tutor in first my rom 1908 i use install magisk version 7.1.1 or use magisk 7.4?
and if i sukses to rom 1910.35 in position rooted i uninstall magisk 7.1.1 and change to magisk 7.4?
yes. you can go ahead and use latest magisk 7.4 will be fine. (on 1908.12) after unlock bootloader, flashing root boot img, installing latest magisk and root explorer to change fingerprint, go to the thread i linked to and update to latest 1910.35 with the zip provided, then go to the other thread and continue with unrooting and re-locking bootloader, if that's what you want...
OR
that method seems ridiculous... and long-winded.
1. you'll have to wipe the data and factory reset any way
2. so why don't you just use this guide from step 0) - step 8) then the following steps 1 - 3 to unroot and relock bootloader...
this seems like a much more simple solution for you...

Hi guys. Im just new here and just got my rog CN version. Just to be clear the first threqd tutorials will do it all? Flashing WW and converting to WW fingerprint? Or I still need to manually convert the fingerprint?
One question, if your phone already comes with the ww ROM, can you flash another ww rom on it like step 1? But provided the rom version on your phone is lower than the rom version you're trying to flash to. Will this work? Or it will brick the device?

for everybody who has this problem flashing another rom to the asus rog phone 2: flashall_AFT.cmd not working
This happened to me too and the solution is to first install the original ASUS USB Drivers.
You can google for them or get them from the original ASUS website.
Download the zip file and unzip it.
Connect your phone to your pc through the regular port on the bottom ( that you use to charge the battery ) !
Choose "allow file transfer" on your phone.
Now open device manager. ( click windowsbutton+r and type "devmgmt.msc" )
Find your ROG_phoneII under wearable devices, rightclick it and chose "update drivers" then choose " find drivers on my computer "
and select the map where you unzipped the ASUS drivers package, click on it and choose the map called Android.
Click ok and it will install the right drivers.
Now go back to step 2 from this thread and run " flashall_AFT.cmd " . This time it will work
