Flashing WW ROM and Changing CN fingerprint to WW

It worked !! :D

Yes !! It worked like a charm ! :D Almost f-ed up my bootloader with being on the 1906.19 version , but luckily i flashed then to 1907.33, before unlocking the bootloader. But NOW the OTA update from the ASUS website, the latest 1910.35 just got updated ! Everything working good. I hope in this version the "bluetooth problem" i had was fixed. I had a problem with bluetooth connecting to my car through Android Auto / or just normally. It kept connecting/disconnecting every 3-5 seconds, till i resetted Wifi/Bluetooth/Gps settings. Will reply if it's fixed, in case anyone else had a problem like me. Thanks very much again for the tutorial.

Few questions..

Few questions, I just rooted the device with unlocked bootloader of course and it's on the WW version, Will I still be able to get OTA updates on the phone? (ROG PHONE II TENCENT VERSION, CONVERTED TO WW VERSION)

And, Is there a way to pass the bootloader message when the phone boots up? It's ugly and takes some time to pass..

No and not that I'm aware of.
Asus does not support the CN conversion to WW so no OTA updates. You can manually flash raw ROMS for updates. As for bootloader message, b I'm not aware of any option might be possible to trick the phone but this requires someone with deep dev skills.

Thanks, another question..
Can I relock the bootloader but stay with root on phone? and if I relock the bootloader, the warranty should be back to normal? Asus has a way to detect that?

Asus detected that you unlocked the bootloader as soon as you used the app to unlock.
Yes, you need unlocked bl to be rooted.
You can speed up the booting process (but not Bypass the message) by pressing power button twice quickly

You won't be able to update OTA sadly. Go to this link
https://www.asus.com/Phone/ROG-Phone-II/HelpDesk_BIOS/
Download the latest firmware to your Rog phone 2, paste it into the ROOT folder using file manager, reboot the phone, once rebooted it will say update available and you can proceed to update.

Are you now on WW rom with WW fingerprint? If so, download the latest raw 1910.44 rom and run Flashall_AFT.cmd, no data will be lost by doing this :)

Yes, i'm sure as long as the phone is supported then you will be able to find the roms or ota updates here...

Hi all. I got my Tencent 128gb/8gb ASUS I001DA ROG Phone 2 from eBay which came with WW rom but CN fingerprint. It looks like I have 1908.12_0 version but the entire string is different from what I've seen the root for 1908.12. The software version says WW_16.0640.1908.12_0. Can I still root using the 1908.12 img I have seen in this thread?

The version I've seen for root seems to be ww_16.0631.1908.12_0.

To answer my own question, I followed the guide here and I now have WW for software and fingerprint.
