I have never seen this issue.

I am stock. No developer settings, no dock.

I have had tegra games do the flashing thing after install but a power cycle fixes it.

I have tried the force GPU rendering... It's not on anymore.. But believe me when I say that it's not the GPU rendering that is the problem.. Because i've encountered the flickering with the Force GPU off.. There is something buggy with the brightness control.. I'm not exactly sure what it is.. "And no i don't have auto brightness-thingy on"..

Edit: Just wanted to say that my flickering can be described as if the brightness is adjusting somehow.. It''s like when u have auto-brightness on.. It kinda fades for a half of a second..
This brightness change happens in Power Save mode, are you in power save mode?

I think the point was to establish how widespread the problem is. For example, we now know that it occurs on many of the tablets owned by XDA members. We know two reviewers have encountered the problem.

And there is an entire independent thread about the problem at another Forum.

http://www.transformerforums.com/fo...-flickering-lines-along-left-edge-screen.html

I don't think anyone here is trying to present a hypothesis as fact. XDA members are usually relatively methodical about solving problems. It looks like we are in the data collecting phase. We are looking for the frequency of occurences and trying to establish a pattern.
Well, Asus has already acknowledged the problem. We knew it was widespread already. Confirmation by reviewers is nice. I am positive the issue will be addressed and fixed.

I'm mostly put off by the blogs using excuses for not noticing it (I don't care why it took so long for you to have the problem; it seems random, and it could pop up often or never for anyone, so I don't care if it took a couple hours or a couple weeks to find it) and also for trying to tell users exactly when/why it happens with no proof. "It happens when you squeeze the back of the tablet, always, and only then." Nope. Judging by the posts here, that's not the case at all.

Point: It's great to have journalist confirmation of the issues. It's not so great when the journalists mix conjecture with fact and pass it off as 100% true.

I can only state that this issue occurs to me only when power saving mode is enabled and screen brightness is < 20%, I think 600Mhz is not enough to run graphical interface.
On balanced mode I have never noticed this, also on portrait mode + power saving

Wife just picked this tablet up couple days ago and I have seen this issue twice playing with and setting it up for her.

1st time was browsing the photo gallery app, second time was when I first opened Tablet Talk app to set it up. Seems pretty random though cause neither action consistently recreates the problem. Sometimes its just the left of screen but the other time the whole ICS tool bar along bottom was jittering also.

Tablet has been in balanced power mode the whole time. Haven't switched to power save or performance mode yet ever.

From what I found searching this morning and the replies from ASUS I am hopefullly confident this will be fixed soon.... without an external screen attachment :p

Ah, that would tend to conform to my experience. I was running a Citrix session to my work, but wasn't actually using the tablet (I was doing stuff on another computer) So it had probably lapsed into power saver mode.

I was seeing the occasional screen flicker along the left side of the screen on two different tf300 tablets. Now since the .29 OTA update it has not occurred on either tablet. Can anyone else confirm?
