There is an EXTREMELY simple way as of a few months ago.
One of the updates around August or so, Samsung enabled use of Next Radio. So, you won't be able to install and use the Samsung Hybrid Radio app but Next Radio does work for listening to local radio, free with zero data.
A small victory for Canadian A8 2018 owners.
Of course nobody was ever informed aside from me posting on here.
For months i was sending emails to get this done. They worded it as such that it was a fix. But it was never broken.
Anyway, there you go!
You may get a message from the app telling you it cannot scan for stations. No prob. Plug in your headphones, use the basic tuner to scroll (or just tap it to enter the station numerically) and add'em to your favourites.
