If you need any help to investigate the root cause, I'll be glad to helpFor people having issues with the live tiles, I'm not sure what the issue is, but I'll see about addressing it. Thanks.
I am sure you have plenty to do, but I found this issue and reported it over in the WindowsPhoneHacker thread. Found another problem with the folders_root2 xap. Although the apps assigned to a folder have the proper names in the app list, some do not have the proper names in the list of apps when you select a folder from the start page. This applies to some apps downloaded from the Marketplace, including MS apps, as well as homebrew apps. Not all, but some and I have no way to correct the app names. For example, the Talking Alarm Clock from the Marketplace appears as "Talking Alarm Clock" in the app list, but "@AppResLib.dll,-100" in the list of apps within the folder I have assigned it to. This has happened to quite a few apps. For people having issues with the live tiles, I'm not sure what the issue is, but I'll see about addressing it. Thanks.
Yes, I noticed that even back when developing it. Unless someone knows how to read strings from resources, I don't know what to do about this.I am sure you have plenty to do, but I found this issue and reported it over in the WindowsPhoneHacker thread. When I looked into the manifest for some of the homebrew apps I found that the "Title" in the manifest had the screwy descriptions. I am not a developer, but another poster mentioned that these descriptions reference a file that contains the proper app Title for "global" apps. In other words, the Title is not pulled from the manifest but from a file referenced in the manifest, depending on your location/region? For what it is worth.Yes, I noticed that even back when developing it. Unless someone knows how to read strings from resources, I don't know what to do about this.
Yes, I understand how it works, I just have to find a way to parse this informationWhen I looked into the manifest for some of the homebrew apps I found that the "Title" in the manifest had the screwy descriptions. Yeah, I'll see about that. Also, it's not random, just in the order that the OS gives the GUIDs in, but I'll see about sorting it. Thanks. It would be easier if you just implement the possibility to rename a single app (and also to sort the list, alphabetically let's say, and not just randomized as it is right now)
...That's how the app works. If you don't pin them, the folders are useless. I guess I don't understand the question, then.Is there a way to prevent the folders pinned to start screen? It always pin although i deleted it.
Hi Jax, I installed the new version, and it works in non rooted "version". After toggling Folders in WP7 Root tools to trusted, running Folders, it stays for about 8-9 second and then it quits to applist. Untoggling makes Folders work again in non rooted version. Any idea what could be wrong? I do have tons of games installed, could that be the reason?Alright folks, finished my rewrite. Still some issues to work out, and some new issues, but it should clear up some problems people were complaining about.

On launch in root mode, it parses your installed apps and copies their data into the iso store. Sounds like one of your apps might be broken.Hi Jax, I installed the new version, and it works in non rooted "version". I'll see about adding in some failsafes to figure this out.
this function be great! ...the even for each pin to start app (remove these apps from the main applist).... While using your new "pin to applist" function it would be great to be able to remove these apps from the main applist
