Hi! I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, so if it's not, please direct me to the right place. My tablet just updated to Android 4.2.2. In the past, with Android 4.1, I didn't have any problem with my fonts installed with an apk. But now, all fonts installed by apk have a problem. When I try to select them in Font Style, I get a message that says "This font is not supported". I tried installing a font that I created with Font APK Creator, but got the same message. I tried an apk created by someone on the forum and that didn't work either. And all the custom fonts I have installed don't work. I also tried a free pack from the Google Play store and they didn't work either. Did they change something in 4.2.2 to make it impossible to install custom fonts, so you have to buy them instead. This makes me mad. Is there any way to install your own font in Android 4.2.2?
This. I mean you can install it successfully with iFont, but it won't scale properly. Just to to My Files and see the files, the extension of the files are gone, even if they are not big! When you switch to any system fonts like, I mean which are already installed, Choco Cooky, Rosemary and those, the extensions are back and the fonts are scaled properly. I just don't know what's the problem with Samsung (or Google?) to break something which was perfectly working on GB, or even on ICS I think. However I have not had time to notice that if the problem persists within My Files only or on some other places as well!
Is there any custom font out there, which's APK will be installed normally on our S4? I highly doubt!

This is a problem in "My Files" only. I use Root Explorer, and extensions are shown properly with the Galette font using iFont.

On the other hand, what's the name of the font you're using?

Oh that's good then. I use Root Explorer too, but it's not as simple as My Files, I need something with simpler UI, less cluttered. Root Explorer is an advanced level file manager, that's for a different purpose imo. Trying to find something simple as My Files.....

You might wanna try ES File Explorer, or MiFileExplorer.

P.S., you forgot to mention the font name you're using. :)

Can you test the attached one (Cptsmod.apk) ? :)
Galaxy S3- I have a similar issue. I created fonts ok, installed but the font name does not show in the list. Your Cptsmod.apk does however and works. Just none of the .apk's I created show... Any ideas?

i have 32bit
You can use iFont.
Download it from play store. Get the font that you want to the ifont folder.
Open the app and go to costum where you can find the fonts, click on them, than click on TTF to APK. It will create an apk that you can install and set as font in the settings.

Very interesting app :)

Could you implement a batch version ?

Like ability to select multiple ttf and generate apks on the fly instead of having to do one by one ?

thanks for your answer :highfive:
