This is awesome! Thank you for your work.

Can I submit Mistral font? I am a big fan of it. I'm new to the forum, I still can't post hotlinks, but I can email it if necessary.

@pudchi (or anyone else who is familiar with modding somewhat)

I decompiled one of the fonts posted in this thread with the intent of substituting my own font... Although there was some trial and error, I think I figured everything out (well I still have a lot of questions...but not right now), but what I don't understand is when I go to install the font, it asks me if I want to "update" the app. At first I thought this was because I started with a font that I had already installed and assumed I missed something in one of the xml files (or someplace)...

So to play it safe, I started over using a different font apk to decompile— one that I never installed (or if I did, I definitely uninstalled it).

But after swapping the font and updating all of the xml and .smali files, when I try to install, it is still asking me if I want to "update".

I've installed maybe 5 fonts from this thread. When I installed them, I was never asked to confirm if I wanted to "update" (or at least I don't remember it asking this), so I think I missed something in my build.

I know this is kinda a long shot, but do you have any suggestions as to what I might look for in the decompiled apk to figure out why it sees this installation as an update?

You you very much in advance for your help!!!

I am posting once again...I realize this thread had its peak activity awhile back, but I'm looking for someone who might be able to answer a question about modifying a flipfont apk. I have non-free fonts I own and would like to modify a flipfont from this thread to use the .ttf that I have. I have read old Samsung threads on how to create flipfont apks and I have decompiled one, modified it, recompiled it, zipaligned it, and signed it... Everything seems to be correct.

However whenever I take the resulting apk to my phone and attempt to install it, I am asked if I want to "update" a current application. Since I'm installing a new apk I just created (by modifying a different apk), I should not be getting this update confirmation.

I have been researching flipfont creation for about a week and can't seem to find an answer. If anyone can send me to a different tutorial or suggest a reason for my issue (and/or just field 1-2 questions from me), I would be immensely appreciative!

I just did a few fonts and wanted to post them if anyone read do inclined to try them. I used the apk structure of the Helvetica font (that is pre-installed on the HTC One m8) to create "PFDinDisplayPro", and everything looks like it should.

For the second font, I followed the apk structure of one if the fonts posted in this thread. It works fine, but due to the way it is erratically named internally, the installed package on the system says "bold", yet under personalized-> select font, it states the family name of the font (as it should).

I don't think I can attach files from my phone, so I will use mega links.

1. PFDinDisplayPro
This is a clean font. Do a Google search on it to see what it looks like. It's your standard gothic font but a little more chiseled and it has more stubs (and it has a very beautiful ampersand). For this font, I found setting the size in personalization to medium worked best.

2. NeutraTextSC
I know NeutraText was already posted in this thread, but this version is the SC or "small caps" version. Definitively gives a unique look For this font, I changed the font size in personalization to "Large"
