Yes, I have been able to install ones from this thread. I currently have Univers Condensed from post 2 applied across my system.

Okay, I just tested some others from posts 1 and 2, I also received the same error when applying those.

It must be something with my device that isn't allowing me to apply them to my system.

So I may have been sending you on a wild goose chase for an issue on my end...
I know you said you are rooted...But with Samsung, it's possible to lose root pretty easily if you install certain updates...or if you don't have S-off which I've heard (at least in the past) was not something easy to do.

So double check your root. Reflash whatever custom recovery you have (I'd recommend TWRP because it installs SuperSu automatically).

Ok. I still have those SamsungSans fonts, so i can do it. Hopefully tonight.

Are you using a HTC One m8? (Just confirming).

I'd like to bump this one, as that looks like a really nice font - and one that might work well on small screens.
I can do it, but you do realize it's a monospaced font... Like courier or an OCR font (or the typeface on any real typewriter). Meaning every glyph (character) will take up exactly the same space.

These fonts are great for coding obviously, but I don't think they would be optimum for a screen. Roboto has a monospaced version (probably for displaying code blocks), but it's never the default font on an Android phone.

Yeah, I hadn't considered that. Monospaced on a small display might be problematic.

I'm using Encode Sans Compressed right now, and loving it, but sometimes I imagine I'd like something a bit less, well, compressed... ;)

Ahh, hadn't thought of that. I don't think it would be something I would use then. Thank you for offering to make it, as well as the explanation.

Samsung sans condensed apk... :(
Here is SamsungSansCondensed...

It took me a bit to do it. Let me know how it looks and what you are looking for. I presume what you want is a Grotesk/Gothic/Geometric font (like SamsungSans or Futura, etc) but condensed. If this is too condensed, or too boring tell me. Some of the ones recently posted here in links by me are pretty good. There is MexSans, and also PFDinProCond. Look above. One of my favorites which I think I posted here is Lumier. It is a lot like NeutraText but it is a SC (small caps cut), and it has a lower x-height (meaning the center or top of lower-case letters... like the height of a lower-case "x"). The lower x-height plus the small caps gives it a distinct look, yet still very clean. It is my favorite, but a few don't like the small caps aspect.

I am like the bad guy in the Stephen King book/movie "Needful Things"... ummm, except with fonts. :silly:

If you want that, let me know where the font is. I know I have seen versions of it.

But give me a link to either the font or the zip (from which I can pull the fonts), and I can make it.

HI. awesome work.
Can I make a request?
Im a fan of Ubuntu Mono font.
Cant post a link maybe i'll email you.
As I mention above in connection with another font...you are aware it is a monospaced....And you have seen it in a screen. Monospaced fonts tend not to look all that "sophisticated" on a phone.

If you describe what you are looking for, I can get you want.

"Helvetica Neue LT Std 27 Ultra Light Condensed"
http://s000.tinyuipload.com/index.php?file_id=00007059341836480844

Thx!

OK, I did this one.... It is a very narrow and very very light in weight. Also, for these fonts to work best, you need to have a "bold" version. I checked and at least for the major foundaries, there is no bold for Helevetica Neue LT Std Ult Light Condensed. So, I used Helevetica Neue Lt Std Thin Condensed. So the weight is a bit heavier and approximates for a "bold".

Since this font has such a huge name, the final apk name is a little messy looking, but I wanted to describe it accurately. Also, my phone is having problems and so I wasn't able to install and test it, but I had no errors in the building of it so I doubt there will be any issues. But let me know.

Could you kindly make this, @syntropic? The semi bold one?

Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

I didn't see you said that you wanted the semibold one, so I made this with "regular" and "bold". However, when I looked at all of the weights initially to decide which ones I thought I should use, the semibold seemed a bit heavy to use as a "regular".

But...since I missed the request for semibold, try this apk which uses Open Sans Regular (for the regular) and Open Sans Bold (for the bold). If you think it is too light, then I can make a Semibold and Bold (or even ExtraBold) version.

Just look at this one and if it is not what you want, I'll make another.
