OnePlus 5
OP5. Amazing phone, but the camera was obsolete and the battery started to fail me. I am happy with the Pixel 6 so far, especially after I rooted it :)

My previous phone was a Xiaomi MI 9. Gotta admit, that was a better phone in most ways. Smaller, lighter, much more reliable OS. The fingerprint reader didn't completely suck. I would still be using it, but the battery life dropped off too much.

The 6 has a fantastic camera, 5G, and a 2-day battery life. (At least it did until that last update. Seriously, what happened there? I'm down to barely over a day now.)
Greetings from Mi 9 with 4000 mAh battery ;)

Nexus 4 -> 3 years
Sony Xperia Z5 -> 1 year
Samsung Galaxy S7 -> 1 month (hated it)
Pixel 3 -> 3 years

Now:
Pixel 6 as my private phone
Pixel 4a 5G as my company phone

Love my Pixel phones and my good old Nexus 4! Never again back to another brand :)

Fresh off from the Google Pixel 4a 5g. A very nice phone ...sadly I crashed the screen on a field trip ...it still worked fine but everytime I looked at it I was reminded of how stupid I was not to put a screen guard on it.

Now my Pixel 6 is loaded.....screen protector with the Crave clear phone case (by the way, I hate all these screen protectors and cases, but what the heck....I don't want to trash two phones in a row like an idiot 😂) ..

Google Pixel 6
OnePlus Nord 2 5G
From IPhone xr. And I'm telling you IPhone xr 2018 is way better than pixel 6.

I tried also OnePlus Nord 2 latest month, that is also way better than pixel 6. Lol. Pixel 6 is just ridiculous phone. First fingerprint sensor don't work properly. There is no dedicated button for google pay. If someone calls outside in sun, the screen is remain black, and I have to tap on it like crazy just to see who's calling me. Really really bad. I feel like in have some beta phone.

Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G - I left that in the dirt and never looked back, albeit I still have it, it's a $1200 phone lol well, was when I purchased it. I went from a Pixel 2 XL to a Galaxy S9 to a Pixel 4a to a Note 20 Galaxy 5G and then to my P6! There were phones (obviously) before it and I was a Samasung fan boy .. Only dabbling in the Pixels ans Nexus phones .. But I love my P6 enough to never use my Note 20 Ultra 5G .. :D

OnePlus 8. Hated the iPhone 8 that my employer saddled me with so I got a OnePlus 6 and paid my own bill. Loved the 6! The 8 was good except the USB port is glitchy and accessories hard to come by because the phone wasn't very popular. Considered switching to the OnePlus 10 Pro but it's expensive and the OS seems a bit of a mess. Chose the Pixel 6 for the price, performance, and assumption that Google will treat it well with software updates. Just got it yesterday and still setting it up. Will keep it stock for a while but will probably play with ROMs before long.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2. Before that I had a Sony Xperia Mini ST15i (2012-2015), LG G3 (D855) from 2015-2019. All of them had LineageOS/ CyanogenMod in all their entire lifetime. Took a sabbatical from a flagship and bought the Zenfone back in 2019 to save money at the time. With Pixel 6 I came back to the flagship scene. The only thing I miss in the Pixel 6 over the Zenfone is the big fat 5000 mah battery. Its not as if the battery life in the Pixel 6 is bad, but they really need to load the flagships with kickass battery life again. Lets make smartphone battery life GREAT AGAIN :sneaky:

    Pixel 3a XL. Nearly identical overall size, but the P6 screen is much bigger (smaller bezels) and nicer. Overall the camera performance is slightly better, but having the wide angle lens is really nice. I also believe that Google will continue to tweak the software for the new camera chip and make the performance better over time. The fact that they were able to match the performance of the older camera chip (that they have been tweaking on for 3+ years) on release day is pretty amazing.

    I've always purchased mid-price phones. I simply cannot bring myself to spend $1000 or more on a phone that regardless of how good it is, will need to be replaced in a few years. The price difference between the Pixel "A" series phone and the P6 was small enough and the extra features of the P6 were good enough that I decided it was worth the extra money to buy the P6. I would not however spend the extra $$ on a P6P over a P6.

    I'm 100% satisfied with my upgrade and would make the same decision again after using the P6 since release day.

    PS - I have zero issues with the finger print reader. I'm not running a screen protector at this time (but would like to). I have only saved each finger once as well as there has been no need to save it multiple times. I probably have a 95% first scan success rate.

    OP6T and OP8T. Great hardware. I was tired of waiting for updates.

    I'm in the mix to possibly buy a P6 , but I'm curious what phone you're leaving behind. Plus, how has the new phone compared or not?

    Lg Wing. Only because my hand was forced due to no more support. The phone itself was great. I hate Samsung and Apple. Motorola is basically garbage. One plus is too expensive for what I'm willing to pay, after a year on TMobile the 9pro was still above 1000. This left me with this phone as the only other reasonable choice. I am not the biggest fan so far.
