Dude, can you please tell us the exact version of flashtool that you used?
I have tried with all these and nothing, still same bands.

Xperia Z (C6603)_10.3.A.0.423_Generic ES.ftf
Xperia ZL C6506_10.1.A.1.434_Customized US 1270-7584 R8A.ftf
C 6603_10.3.1.A.2.67_Generic GR.ftf
C6503_10.3.1.A.2.67.ftf
C6506_10.1.1.A.1.253_Customized_US.ftf
C6506_10.3.A.0.423_Unbranded.ftf
C6603_10.1.1.A.1.307_BE.ftf
C6606_10.1.1.B.0.166_TMobile_US.ftf

Q1. after flashing the baseband, would the baseband version in about phone change? (I am not sure but seems like mine doesn't change: 9x15A-ACEFWMAZQ-30110082-51)

Q2. I flash the baseband (not sure sucessful or not) but could not get LTE. My C6603 build no. is 10.4.B.0.569. I have tried to flash baseband from the following ftf:
C6506_10.3.A.0.423_Unbranded
C6506_10.3.1.A.2.67_Generic US
C6506_10.4.B.0.569 R1C_LTE North America Commercial and Journalists
Guys please read and follow the instructions on post 9 in the thread if I remember correctly. I'm out on my phone can't link... I think I've made it very clear on what you need to do...

Make sure you are using a LTE sim card, if you're using the old sim cards they might not support it. You can tell by looking at it, it is stated on the sim card itself.

Second make sure you set the correct apn settings. Every carrier has different apn settings and different lte settings.

Third make sure you are in the LTE coverage area, not every single place in Canada has lte yet. Go search it up.

Fourth, not sure does this even matter but might be better to double check, if you have a older data plan you might not have the "lte plan" again this depends on the carrier but to my extent of knowledge, older data plans also supports lte.

Best of luck.

Has anyone been able to get LTE from Koodo on the Z 4.2.2 or 4.3?

As a responsible reader, I have already checked everything. 1. LTE sim card, 2. Correct APN for Rogers, 3. LTE Coverage, 4. LTE plan. I especially checked 1,2,4 cause I asked my friend to lend his phone to me and got LTE signal.

For further info, after the latest update, I can actually find LTE signal in mobile network option but could not register to it, same when I tried to flash my baseband. I have attached a photo for ref.

I'm on rogers too and I have no issue here in Vancouver, I was with fido last month and it worked like a charm.

In fact I'm still on 4.2.2 baseband, I've never flashed any 4.3 baseband and I still get lte.

Check the apn settings again,a typo might be the cause.

Edit: doesn't seem like all my screen shots got uploaded. I'll do it once I get home. . uploaded them

Method 1: make sure you guys flashed the baseband of 4.3 of C6506 or C6606 or try another FTF file if you have not done so already, see if that works if not try the following method.

Method 2: If it still doesnt work then Sony might have done something with the 4.3 update. If that is the case then do the following and hope it works. Flash back to 4.2.2 (everything) then boot the phone, then go back and flash the C6506 or whatever 06's "baseband only", boot it and then set the correct LTE stuff and see if you get LTE, if you do then go flash the entire 4.3 "excluding the baseband," boot the phone and you might have to set the LTE stuff again and see if you get LTE.

that way, you should be able to keep your 4.2.2 baseband and should be able to get LTE cause I have LTE here on Rogers.

For those curious. I finally upgraded my firmware. Went from 4.2.2 to 4.3 C6603_10.4.B.0.569 rooted. Decided just now I wanted my LTE back so I flashed the baseband same as instructed on page 1 post #9 using the stripped (Xperia_ZL_C6506_LTE_basebandONLY.ftf) file and voila, I'm back on LTE again.

For the record, the LTE for whatever reason WILL NOT work in my home city of Winnipeg BUT works in every other major city in Canada (tested in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary so far). I can't figure that one out. Something going on in Winnipeg with the network. This was always the case with this procedure for me.

For xperia zr I am not quite sure it work in this case, since it might be different hardware. The reason I could think of you can't get lte in Winnipeg because of the lte 2600 band is not deploy yet, so basically nothing you can really do.

You might have bricked it. Can you boot into bootloader/recovery at all?

I tried flashing the C6616 Bell Canada baseband for the .230 firmware onto my C6603 running .283. I had no reception at all and had to reflash my stock baseband. Is this because the firmware versions are different and the basebands would be incompatible?

I figured that both devices have identical specs except for the modem bands so it should work.

Does this have to be done using a ZL C65XX firmware only?

I am using a C6603 Xperia Z unlocked on Virgin Mobile.

Can someone please upload a baseband only ftf please?

I have the C6603 and I'm only able to access 2G networks. When I switch to WCDMA or LTE the network icon goes empty.

I would really like to try the C6506 baseband, but it's a pain to download the entire firmware just to flash the baseband. Can someone please upload a baseband only ftf please?
