Forgot password home screen.

Yesterday morning I could not remember the password for the home screen. If you enter the wrong numbers it lets you wait 30s and then can try again. I finally remembered my passcode and got in, but it does worry me that you do not have the option of using your puk code to reset the passcode. The only option was bringing it to a service center and they reset the phone by reflashing it? I suppose it's a good security measure but annoying at the same time. So write down your code just in case it happens to you.

That actually happened to my friend during CES. He bought it set a pin and he totally forgot about it. Now he can't even wipe it via recovery because it asks the lockscreen pin so it's basically a brick now. At this point he went back to his note 9 and probably gonna return the phone back.

When I called oppo customer care they said I have to bring it in to a service center. I luckily remembered mine so did not have to do that , but I think it would have been sent back to oppo and they reset it. It's highly annoying as other manufacturers give you the option of resetting your passcode with your puk code.
