This looks like a really poorly thrown together article (and auto-generated from the looks of it), but unless you have the T-Mobile V10, it doesn't help you because those instructions involve unlocking the bootloader, which can only be done on the T-Mobile V10. But that's been done for a while now, plenty of guides here for it.

The days of rooting through an all in one app are gone for newer devices, unless it was developed here on xda for a specific device or device family.. Team codefire and Jcase are the only ones I've seen release any kind of root for premium Lg devices since the G2.. They're not here so if you're not using a device from Tmo it's looking pretty bleek. Lg does support unlocking and I'm sure eventually will as more models of the V10 are released, but it definitely won't be the AT&T version..
