I just installed FoxFi on my RAZR Maxx, and from what I can tell so far, it is excellent! MUCH better than Android WiFi Tether (which for me, didn't work at all!)! I love it!

Now that FoxFi has usage limits...anyone using anything else on non rooted phones?...Note that I use the Widgetsoid widget to enable the native app without the "splash $20 screen" on many phones but the Charge is rejecting it...thanks Ya'll

I really enjoyed the functionality of this app. Unfortunately, I didn't realize JB would kill it! Any suggestions for a WiFi replacement under Jelly Bean 4.1 (Verizon)? I am currently using Open Garden, but Bluetooth is not as convenient or fast as WiFi. Plus, I have to pre-install the client software in each device (tablets x3, netbook, laptop). I don't tether alot, but FoxFi was handy when I did.

Looking for this answer as well. Was cruising along with my Razr MAXX using the SVTP Wi-Fi tether... then got the "oops" JB upgrade... now the tether has stopped working... I would even go back to FoxFi if I could use it. Searched Google Play for SQLITE and it came back with at least 6 apps and I have no clue which one to install if it is even an APP I should install... Help!

THANK YOU!

You'll need root to do the entitlement check exploit, and this thread is specified non-rooted. If you have root, it makes total sense to do this over using FoxFI. However, I don't recommend a newb jacking around with SQL. Link below, it works on the OTA JB leak as well.

couple things for clarity...

I am not new to rooting, this just happens to be the first phone I have not rooted. in my previous routing don't recall using SQL, but I may have. that is why I am in this thread as I know it is for non rooted phones. unfortunately, with jelly bean now on my phone there is not yet, that I understand, a way to root it nor can I go back to ICS. Soooo...

is anyone aware of a wifi tether, non root, that works with jelly bean?

I think you may be hosed till FoxFi get's a JB update or someone gets root. I'm betting the latter happens first.
