Free Keyboard Mouse for UK Xooms

can some one with Us firmware loaded send me a capture of the logcat when you connect the UK BT keyboard please. I'm close to getting the keymapping worked out but not sure if, what I am seeing is a result of messing too much or if its working as a 'normal' users xoom would.

would someone else please test

Well, the Xoom that arrived was the US version (had US Rom on it and US charger) - but I had a go anyway and registered a few days ago and today got that it was approved

Keyboard is a waste of time on 3.0.1, haf the keys are in the wrong place, I tried modifying the keylayouts but that was no good, will have to wait for 3.1 next week.

EDIT: Anyone managed to get a modified keylayout to swap " and @ on 3.0.1? I still can't seem to do it.

yoshitweaky has done it on 3.2 try them files and see if it works then see if he will edit them for you its two sets.

I can't see that's the files will be any different at any is level as its keyboard specific for the motor keyboard.
Having said that if my mod doesn't work for you, ping me the two files and I'll take a look.

Thought I had missed out on this deal a few weeks a go. Just on the off chance I rechecked this thread 2 days a go...

I got my Xoom on the 26th of June. Saw that they extended it for early adopters too. Filled my details and got approved. Glad I never bought them seperately now was thinking about it as I have a Motorola Atrix too.

I bought my Xoom from Best Buy UK in Rotherham.

Best Buy UK is not one of the options when you select where you bought your Xoom from. If anyone else has that issue then just select Amazon.co.uk and in the Store location box enter Best Buy UK in there. worked fine for me.

I also used the UA switcher on Firefox as my Xoom is US 3.2.

LOL! All the worry I went to with editing my receipt and they go and extend it backwards!
It's a nice piece of kit. Both KB and Mouse working just fine on mine.

BTW, what a small world. I live just around the corner in Conisbrough!!!

Yes they did.

If you go to the website and read the Terms and Conditions it says with an asterix next to it...

*A very limited extra number of Promotional packs of a Wireless Keyboard and Mouse will be available on a strictly first come, first served basis to Customers who purchased a Motorola XOOM prior to 1 July 2011.

They definately have some left as I did it Thurday night and got a confirmation on Friday afternoon, got mine on 26th June.

I got my Xoom when it was first released in the UK, registered on Monday and they arrived yesterday
I'm actually quite impressed how well 3.1 supports the keyboard and mouse... and they do make up for the incredibly long delay getting us 3.1

just noticed i have two serial numbers... is it right to try and send off twice?

should i put a different email/home address if so?
