Flash kernel

I have looked everywhere in this forum and I cant figure this out and I dont know why. Ok so I am rooted and have SU am running the trickdroid ROM but for some reason I am not able to flash the Wolfpack kernel. I just keep getting an error first it was a signature error and then I turned off the signature checking and now I just get that it cant open the file. What in the world am I doing wrong? I am using CWM Touch 6.....something.

Wolfpack kernel is for sense roms v4.1.2 and Trickdroid is v4.2.2

I'm on Trickdroid 5.5.1 which is 4.1.2. Could there be another reason?

There's probably a device compatibility check in the rom or kernel

Q21: Can I flash roms from the HTC One International forums?

As of 06/25/13 the answer is NO. Most roms in that forum are 4.2.2 based roms, the HTC One Sprint variant is still 4.1.2 based those roms(International) may become compatible once our device is updated to 4.2.2.​

Does this still apply with rom's that build to 4.2.2 in our threads? Isn't CM compiling with 4.2.2 / kernel 3.4.10? Is it that for ture *universal* compatibility with the international we need 3.7.12 kernels and source?

The roms in the Sprint threads are fine as far as I know.

A lot of people complain that their shots are reddish or purple or blue in the dark. They think their device is defective b/c other Ones don't do that.
Could you make an FAQ that tells them to turn the ISO to 100?

Thanks a lot! My only other question is about kernels; since our sprint board is lacking in kernel posts, i'm wondering if we can only flash our kernels and kernels in the international boards that have links to the spr/wls variant?

The international forums seem to have more kernels made for aosp with slightly different choices of features, and ours seem to have kernels for sense based roms; is there much different with our phones at the kernel level, that keeps us from using their kernels even though we use the same kernel tree? I'm assuming it'd be as simple as compiling their kernel source with our device trees?

I would stick with the kernels in the Sprint forums just to be safe until we get updated to 4.2.2.
On a side note ThickLizard now has a HTC One and I would imagine he will build a kernel for CM,AOSP,AOKP as he built a kernel for the HTC Evo 4G LTE
Another side note please post questions in Q&A...not trying to be mean but this thread is not meant for questions
