The G4 Play fully unlocked has been available for as low as $99 at times. I bought 2, one when it first came out for $150 to replace a 3 year old Nexus 5 for a lady who prefers smaller phones (hates OnePlus2 for size, likes OnePlusX but its discontinued) and then again when it was available for $130 (although I'd wished I'd got it for $99 oh well), which is my daily driver.

I put this SD in it , although I note that is also now higher price than I paid. I did have another SD card in but slow/unreliable, this one works very well. I don't know what is the fuss with SD cards, if you get a decent quality one it is a $$ saving and obviously you save each time you swap phones.

I have stock MM ROM on it, unlocked bootloader (its a function off Moto site) and rooted using SuperSU. I use Xposed (for Youtube Adaway and MinMinguard) and I bought a spare battery from here which worked perfectly.

With the $99 offers unlocked, the locked version from Amazon is pointless, you'd needed to have rushed for Amazon's ads version to pay same as if you waited for the discounts for unlocked.

Relative to the OnePlus2, I like its smaller size, SD card and removable battery, and very good battery life, I get roughly 2 days use from the G4 Play on what I got 1 days use on the OP2.

I recommend it, if not as daily driver, then at least a spare if you're traveling. Note: uses microSIM not nanoSIM so you'd need a "jacket" to make it bigger, I use a free T-mobile 3:1 SIM type and punched out the smallest to next smallest "jacket". The SIM slides into a slot when back panel and battery removed, its not a draw like on OP2.

G4P, will likely become better as CM14.1 gets more out of alpha into a stable beta, then I'll likely jump from stock to CM14.1. No serious rush to however as its doing just fine as-is.
