same here. after odin 1.tar, hangs and boots into recovery.
I have treid a fresh flash of OF1 then trying root with same results.
I also tried after recovery pulling batt and booting to download then odin 2.tar, that allows it to reboot normally and continue process but king root does not then root phone.

It will not boot normally after 1.tar.

any ideas?

Had the same issue. But I press continue on the command pop up after Odin open then follow the steps.Not 100% sure.
(The command pop up is what installs King root.But you might need to redo everything. No need to factory reset)

Root was successful but now I'm getting a security notice"unauthorized actions has been detected... " Is it because I'm rooted or disable security log agent.

So it does trip Knox.

Many Note 3 users will not be rooting if it breaks Knox, for business use or to keep a warranty. That's a shame, I hope Android Yemen can come up with a fix!

Just delet security log agent from /system/app
And everything will be so cool

I have odin 1.tar then 2.tar, then copied tr.apk. and tried it.
I have waited for it reboot into recover after odin 1.tar then pull batt and odin 2.tar
I have tried 64bit version and 32 bit version.
everything is the same. installs king root but fails to root.
The .exe always seems to device error at step 3 but will install king at step 4

Nevermind after a few more attempts it worked. I still have no idea what I was doing wrong originally. But I have it now.
So for anyone who has been having problems, just keep trying.

Well I can't put any pictures or attachment cause I'm a newbe... but, I already rooted my note 3

This is what I did:

I followed every step, and I did the kingroot and I waited until it finished .. but. ohhh nothing happen no root, then I just restarted my phone and voila!!!

Fresh Windows install, 8.1 Enterprise. Drivers are installed, updated. I have used three different cords. All allow the phone to be seen by the computer, just the application and Odin do not see it.

Any other tips? Ideas?

I will be trying a different PC soon..

Different PC that was not a mac/windows hybrid corrected the issue.

Try to put your phone in download mode, connect to the computer open any odin file and put the 2.tar and flash it, that will boot your phone normally.
It happen to me and it worked.

OK this it's what I did, I went to recovery and I cleaned my cache , I restarted the phone, I put the phone in USB debboguin mode and connected to my computer. I opened the root file and I let it do the job, just wait and fallow the instructions, wait till you see Pass on odin, then you can disconnect the phone from the computer.
