I wouldn't count on it. When is it the last time that a new android version was released first in Canada? On average we are about 3-6 months late.
And there are still some customizations. Like the Bell PVR app, and the locales aren't the same (only 2 choices : canadian English or canadian French)

Yes but we have had 2 updates since the phone was release only 2 months ago.. and their are a lot of country's that have not even had an update since the phone was released.

im confused...

are we talking about the latest release on samfirmwares (jph) is is there another one out?

If so where do we download it from?

I really have no idea :D

hayder.jabar has installed a new version and was posting about it in this thread. Just wanted to know what he had installed and if there are indications that a official froyo is on its way

on http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i9000.htm there's a new version out in Africa: I9000JHJP4. not sure if it's official. my guess is that it's a variation of leaked roms? like Asian's variation was I9000ZSJP3.

but the Africa one is the latest ACCORDING TO SAMFIRMWARE. September.

i can't check if it's official via kies cause that damn piece of **** isn't reading my phone again.
