Download the flashtool application which is listed in the original post.

Install the application, then run C:\Flashtool\drivers\Flashtool-drivers.exe, you need to then select Xperia Z, Flashmode Drivers & Fastboot Drivers, see attached.

Then follow the instructions on how to use Flashtool, this can be found on the page link if you go to the developers website.

There is information on the Sony Website also http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/
I already using the latest Flashtool ver 0.9.10.1 to install Flashmode Drivers & Fastboot Drivers, but there is no Xperia Z driver to choose. Am I using the wrong version of Flashtool ?

Bonza.

Damn quick downloads, 2Shared provided. Done in quick-smart considering I've been trying since Monday.

Flashed and setting up now. Cheers fellas.

Sorry to confuse.

The first post contains the link to the flashtool to use, I refered to the sony site for the manual/documentation.

Flashtool version 0.9.10.2beta4 is the latest to use for the Xperia Z

Here is a link to the Unbranded Sony Xperia Z stock ROM .434 as requested.

Been created and fully tested via latest Flashtool, which can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2162907
Use the above URL from the First Post

Looks like a general fault in 434 globally...

Copped Sleep of Death last night :(

Went to bed with 97% battery life, and woke to find the phone was off. On a hard reset (PWR+VOL UP) it displayed 66%.

Got an exchange today (only having bought it Monday) so will retry in a few days if there's no fault under 350.

Bugger.. no issues here, although I've now moved on to the UK unbranded as the HSPA speeds are about 15% faster and the NFC icon works (also seems to be less lag in the home launcher)

Yeah, it was a pain, but this handset is so dope I wouldn't consider swapping to anything different. There's no rhyme or reason for it happening, seeing as it's not happening to everyone, so hopefully not a problem with this new one.

Don't suppose you have a backup ready to flash for 434, both UK and AU unbranded? Would be interested to see if you benchmark different scores in each.

If you can be bothered.

Very interesting, I have been running this ROM version for almost a month and had no issue with this sleep of death

Very curious about the speed increase, they must have some UK specific tweaks for the network
I got my Z from clove UK, and I found that after flashing the AU firmware, battery last much longer.
Maybe reception in Australia is not as great as it in the UK and thus AU firmware has to lower the speed for longer battery life?

Already reflashed and 434 unbranded and no issues thus far. Fingers crossed it remains that way, and it was simply (un)luck of the draw.

This could very well be true ...I find reception in Oz to be quite terrible at times.
What network provider? Buildings, elevators, tunnels...never have an issue on Telstra, myself.

I'm not sure, but I am on Vodafone here in Australia. My best H+ result on the AU 434 firmware was 18mbits, and shortly after flashing the UK 434 the other night I managed to get 22mbits..

I agree with one of the other comments though, the battery seems to go a lot quicker on the UK 434, but to be honest, I still manage to get a full day of moderate use from 7am to 11pm (~10% left).
