Just to update:
Just flashed op's Rom and in build prop it says Global LTE.
So it's the global unlocked update. Not official Australian.
And Nfc icon is now working. Thanks.

This device will get updates from Australia because that is it's location, it is a global ROM that was made available to Australia. In other words it is the ROM from Australia, my region detected by Sony PC Companion, if Australia does not update I will not get updates.

it's not the Network selection... You have to do a factory reset/ DATA wipe to see what I'm talking about.. During the first boot after a data wipe it will prompt you to select your provider to download MMS/Internet(APN) settings just before you enter your Wi-Fi details during setup. your version doesn't ask for it so I have to manually enter APN details ;)

So what does the screen shot show for this ROM (1271-0116_R5A)? Can you confirm the above and I can add this to the OP if you want.

My ROM asks me to download the internet and mms settings, and always has done. So not sure what you are saying exactly.

screenshot shows that the version I have 1271-0116_R5A which is the same version some one else confirmed for a device bought from Harvey Norman.. Don't know why your version didn't prompt me for the APN settings both times I flashed.. It is up to you since this is older .434 firmware.. I uploaded it for anyone who wants to use SPCC to receive official update..

Oh I'm starting miss Samsung ROMs where it is so easy to figure out your ROM branding with Samsung CSC codes :(

Sorry didn't realise it was .434, I can upload it to my .434 Australia thread?

Ditto, HTC was a dream also, you could just flash ROM simple and I would think the easiest for rooting etc.

Yes unlocked bootloader is fine. Uploading to 2shared.com now and I will post a link for part1 soon. Will upload the rest of them over night... Mediafire is very restricted when it comes to split archives

If you haven't backup your TA partition already you need to switch back to .434 and root it.
enable USB debugging mode..
Then backup your TA-partition using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41637991&postcount=633

Right now i am on .253 Global unbranded, so should i switch back to .434 to do these stuffs right.

After going back to .434, i should flash your .253 from here?
