Hey everyone, quick question here. Before i jack up my phone, i just want to be 100%. I have a UK unbranded xperia z2, i would like it to have the USA/CANADA firmware so it can show LTE. Can i do this on my 1282-0226 version device>? Can i do this without losing my DRM keys?

If your bootloader is locked then you dont loose your drm. Not a bad idea too backup your ta partition for saving your keys.
But if you wanna only change your logo data to lte you can make that with xposed and gravity for example, no need to flash a rom [emoji1]

Sorry for my english.

Looks like drivers are not getting installed or you are doing mistake while connecting your device to PC in Flash mode.

Did you press volume down button while connecting your phone to PC?

In folder "C:\Flashtool\drivers" is file "Flashtool-drivers.exe" and this you need to install first. Always install with *right click* and "Run as Administrator". :)

Thanks. Saw an earlier post and user had the same issue. He had to do the opposite of the instructions with the USB cable, I did the same and it worked.

Just pick your country and provider (or unbranded) and choose the firmware ending with .314. That's the latest 4.4.2 version.

Thanks. The problem was the USB cable connection procedure, had to do the opposite of the instructions.

Branded ROMs are good, if you need send your device to repair. Or if you only want your device stock as is possible. If is any problem with links or other, tell me. Need you any version? Not in whole thread? Tell me too and i can upload for you. ;)

I have a Newbie question.
If i want to create ftf firmware from the PC Companion using flashtool, i always have to exclude files *.TA from the creation?
If so, would you explain to me why you?
Thanks.
