I created the FTF file for the C6506 since nobody had done so. My first FTF, tested on my own phone so it should work on any C6506.

I used winrar to split the file in 2. Just unzip with with winrar, it will give the one 740 mb ftf file.Thank for the files. How do you extracted the files?
No, how do you extracted the files from your phone rom?I used winrar to split the file in 2. Just unzip with with winrar, it will give the one 740 mb ftf file.
Is this what you were asking?
Oh, you install sony's update service. Plug your phone in, it will detect that there is a new firmware available and will start downloading it (the whole 740mb), as soon as it hits 100%, unplug your phone right away before it starts flashing it to your device. Then locate where the downloaded files are, usually in a blob folder. You then use Flashtool to decrypt those 5 files and then Flashtool will create the FTF file out of those 5 files. The only thing I removed was loader.sin otherwise we get an error when flashing. No, how do you extracted the files from your phone rom?
Did you try flashing it and failed? I removed it but it seems that when Flashtool creates the FTF, it puts it back somehow. It shouldnt affect anything , I flashed it without problems coming from FW 423.but... your FTF has loader.sin.... how I can remove?
I found there was a lot of lag and bugs in 423 so I had reverted back to 253. But I have been running this 244 build for 2 days now with no issues. I'm not sure if the battery jump problem is still here since I calibrated my battery after rooting. So far so good...Downloading right now, thanks mate.
One question, do you see any improvement over 423?
Thanks bro, I'm finishing flashing as I write.I found there was a lot of lag and bugs in 423 so I had reverted back to 253. But I have been running this 244 build for 2 days now with no issues. It doesn't matter. You can flash this to a locked or unlocked bootloader. You can also root with a locked BL. You can't flash a custom Kernel if your BL is locked but you can flash the 423 kernel, root and flash back the 244 Kernel with a locked BL. Mine is locked and I was able to do it all. Really happy with the ROM compared to the 423. :good:Locked or unlocked bootloader???
 I see your 45 and raise you 51. I've reached 51 celsius once but I was on build 253. It depends what you do with your phone. Some games really make the phone hot and raise the temperature by a lot. I was told by someone in XDA that there is something/app I guess that monitors the temperature of the phone and will automatically shut down the phone if it gets too hot. But yeah, I reach 45 easily while playing games on it.It's working fine for me. Rooted. Is anyone else getting insanely high battery temperatures with this FTF?
My has gone as high as 45 Celsius.
Also, the signal for calls and HSDPA get kind of jaggy every now and then.
Other than that, it's way smoother than 423.

I have the C6506, and no LTE, just HSDPA. I see your 45 and raise you 51. I've reached 51 celsius once but I was on build 253. It depends what you do with your phone. As for the data, didn't notice anything weird with it, I'm 95% of the time on LTE.
I was just looking for this. Thank you so much! Did you happen to make a backup copy of the original Bell ROM? I'm also looking for it just in case. If you have it, can you please share it?I created the FTF file for the C6506 since nobody had done so. My first FTF, tested on my own phone so it should work on any C6506.
